Obamaland

It struck me as odd and interesting last night while musing after Barack's Mississippi win. People get all mucked up -- in and out, on top of, and underneath one another, entwined, entangled, and everything -- and they attempt to include him. But he's usually gallivanting about in Obamaland, be it Wyoming, Alabama, Wisconsin, or wherever. Well, yes, he does touch base periodically to answer a query or debate some non-issues, but not for long. He's some traveler. I bet he travels light.

I bet he does too. It's beautiful to watch, isn't it? Someone who just embodies things I find so beautiful: lightness and strength. A little titanium-like!

Yes! Great analogy.

The two most useful properties of titanium are corrosion resistance, and the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal.

Standard atomic weight: 47.867(1) g.mol-1

Melting point: 3034*F

Boiling point: 5949*F

Crystal structure: hexagonal

Covalent radius: 136pm

One wonders if the properties of gold and silver will come under similar scrutiny, as the dollar sinks further and further.

o I just love that. thank you both for the stats.
it reminds me of my SO; after his accident he had spinal fusion surgery: titanium and bone grafts.

given time to heal, bone is actually stronger than titanium. i wonder what saturn holds for us?

Good 'ol bone. I think Saturn in Virgo is doing its work but sometimes it's hard to perceive. Virgo rules digestion --analysis of our experience and utilization, the opposite of being victimized. We'll see what realistic Saturn does in the Pisces-Virgo opposition. Participation and healing vs. victimization and continuation of sickness. Healing actually is necessary sometimes, believe it or not. I won't argue with it.

What about his Rev. Jeremiah problem? What must he do about this? Because Obama does not represent what Rev. Jeremiah does.

Is this Rev Jeremiah Obama's answer to McCain's Pastor Hagee?

Speaking of rods, Chrispito, I too have rods in my back, altho I seem to recall they're steel rather than titanium. I developed signs of scoliosis at age 12 or 13, and the doctor ordered surgery to correct it. Very painful at the time but you'd never know it to look at me. When I have time I will look up the transits for that time of my life.

LOL, joe! More Sagittarius religious mania. The panic is on. Tit for tat. Thanks for that perfect link.

Ugh!! Steel rods in the back. Amazing. How strong you are.

Well. There's a massive push against Obama now to equalize the initial push from the grassroots. It should work itself out. Equilibrium determines. Hope has fled, smear and hate have returned. Those who were agitated and terrified of hope, change, and the religious element can now relax. The Messiah is busy in Pennsylvania, not an easy place.
Those who were inspired can use this moment to relax as well, and get a little perspective as well as a breather. It's an unusual moment.

Obama has smartly pointed out that the people have to be responsible if they really want to move forward and now is a good time to exercise that as Pisces despair has its month, including the religious nonsense and the crying victims' laments. He's detached from the group temporarily. The peeps have to learn by themselves step by step. He's a good leader in that way. He's always empowered the marginalized to do what needs to be done themselves.

The media aren't as powerful as people believe. so if you get scared you can always turn away from the hysteria a bit. It's a money-making game. They don't decide who's elected. The entire collective does. So you can ignore much of it. It's a world of cheap thrills. Entertainment is a must.

O knew that his pastor would be a prob when he decided to run, so I trust that he will deal with it accordingly.

Mars will be leaving Cancer on May 10th and hopefully taking a good deal of the past with it.

LOL!!

McCain's Campaign Manager essentially says the brouhaha over Obama's Pastor is no big deal.

Of course not.:-)

And this is for you bacalove:

Here we have Chris Matthews on the Today Show this morning saying:

"To Barack's credit, he has distanced himself from this reverend. Let's face it, Barack Obama isn't a Black separatist, we all know that!"

Let'em all work with it!

You bet I'm strong, what with all that Saturn in my chart! I still am indebted to you for pointing all that stuff out to me awhile back.

BTW I found another Jan Spiller astro book, this time on the placement of the eclipses, both solar and lunar, in the birthchart. Fascinating stuff.

Joe! Thank you for the nod of appreciation. I love Jan Spiller. And great astrology. It's amazing how much our assets can be built upon mentally.

"Reverend Wright is a child of the 60s, and he often expresses himself in that language of concern with institutional racism and the struggles the African-American community has gone through," Mr. Obama said. "He analyzes public events in the context of race. I tend to look at them through the context of social justice and inequality."

More on the subject.

I have to say that the conversation opening up in this country about racism is great, and something I've never seen before. The time is right. Cyberspace has certainly opened new windows. We all might get a clearer picture of where we stand individually and collectively. Things have changed and the new generation knows it. Maybe even some honesty will be laced with the emotion. I feel like I'm in a classroom.

Here's another tidbit about Obama from Steve at TPM:

He received his J.D. From Harvard Law, Magna Cum Laude. He was research assistant to Lawrence Tribe, who called him "the most all-around impressive student I had seen in decades." While working for Tribe “Obama analyzed and integrated Einstein's theory of relativity, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, as well as the concept of curved space as an alternative to gravity, for a Law Review article that Tribe wrote titled, 'The Curvature of Constitutional Space.'” In his third year, Obama was elected president of the Harvard Law Review.

I'm impressed. But I'm a sucker for the erudite.

Hey jm, what's your take on the rumblings I'm hearing in blog-land and elsewhere that we should be hoarding cash, stockpiling food and water, etc.? Just in case all hell breaks loose what with the dollar sinking, fuel prices rising, etc.

Usual nonsense. Budgeting would be wiser.:-)

It's amusing. I call it the spook factor and astrology sites are some of the worst offenders. How many of these numbskulls are actually building water tanks? It's just thrills for the group. The excitement of fear. Those of us who lived through the bomb shelter age remember.

If all hell breaks loose a few extra cans of spaghetti-o's aren't going to help much.

Mars in Cancer loves fear.

I think I maxed out on the fear quite a while back... and it became boredom with the whole thing. How many times can people be scared by the same sorts of nonsense? None of us is here very long and I'm sick of wasting time-

Incredible, isn't it?

None of us is here very long and I'm sick of wasting time-

Now that's an interesting subject. One man's waste is another man's treasure. :-)

I've thought long and hard over the years about time wastage. I do find myself deleting a lot these days. I love this subject.

I think I maxed out on the fear quite a while back

So reasonably stated.
