Ha ha! Golems. Of course.

They talk so well. Very observant magical creatures.

I saw the original Creature Comforts many years ago and I was incredibly amused. I could not quite believe what I was witnessing.

They come from the imagination of Nick Park, the creator of Wallace and Gromit. It's claymation and I don't think I've seen any other do it as well as Nick. But the dialog beats all. What a perfect way to poke fun at humans.

I didn't realize that the original had become a series and I just discovered them much to my delight.

What is interesting is how diverse the reactions are. People fall in love with different ones and they know without a doubt where their affections lie.

And a marvelous improvement on those humanoid golems of old, which according to legend lacked the power of speech.

The speech deficiency is striking to note, considering that it was claimed that the word "truth" -- either scribed on their foreheads or inserted (in capsule form) in their mouths -- conferred movement and life to their bodies. Nick Park's animals have taken it to another level.

Aha, the delightful Gromit. No wonder those dogs had a familiar look.

I love this raging universe blog. have found all sorts of goodies in this choc box. Most wonderful read about the north node in the twelfth house, pisces, it is beautiful. I feel so understood by it and it explains so much. Thanks for this.
