  1. What?!!! Well hot damn!! Guess I won't be hitting on ~him~ then!! Darn! ~sigh~

Seriously, I knew that already and I liked him from the get go! :-)

    Welcome aboard, ag!

(I'm a hugger, btw. Brace yourself!)

    (((((ag)))))

    :-D

  2. Hey jane!!! That'll be good for your self mastery!

His gregariuosness is low on the scale. He'd better brace himself.

  3. Now. Why did I think he was a girl? I didn't even question it.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I knew he was a he because I went to his site immediately (when he first showed up at raging universe). :-)

    Scorpio me. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  5. I'm not a traveler anymore. After the Himilayas I settled down in the Rockies and I don't even go to other websites much anymore. What a bore I've become!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Speaking of change.

How many of you go to the same sites you did a year ago?

    Zero for me.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I do. Something old, something new, something blue.

There ~is~ good stuff out there you know, jm. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  8. Not denying the good stuff. I know theoretically it's there. Just talking about attention span.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I have met *astounding* people on the Internet. My life has been and continues to be enriched by some of them daily.

I like to add fresh blood on a regular basis. Keeps the gene pool healthy.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Just talking about attention span.

Some of the places I hang out, I am still learning new (valuable) stuff daily.

One in particular continues to feed my growth daily. This since 2002.

    ReplyDelete
  11. In all honesty, I did visit an old site yesterday. They were talking about the same disaster that was supposed to happen last month...last year...3 years ago. I guess it did happen but not a big enough one.

So what's good? I'll go immediately.

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's probably this: Pluto has just delivered me to another dimension after 5 years of transits. I've changed a little. So I'm looking for outside stuff that coincides with the new me.

My brains got fried and scrambled trying to read everything when I first got here. Then one day I said, what the %&$%&*^*(^)&????

    ReplyDelete
  13. "Now. Why did I think he was a girl? I didn't even question it."

I dunno. Maybe the verbal expression? A kind of easeful rhythm to it?

"How many of you go to the same sites you did a year ago?"

I go whereever I feel there's something I want to learn. Sort of like opening books at random and finding a passage that speaks directly to the issue at hand.

    ReplyDelete
  14. easeful rhythm to it?

    That says a lot.
There was gentleness. I should know better. Most of my men have been gentle.

So you don't generally hang out for long periods at one sight. Just keep traveling?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Well, as to discussion forums, it would be a rare one to hold my attention for long. :-)

I have seen some forums that are mentally or emotionally cramped. They miss the forest for the trees.

And there is a dislike of surprise and spontaneity in some places. These aspects are regarded as distractions from achieving some desired goal -- though they came not uncalled -- whereas my nature is to see them as clues or doors to the real, the cosmos signaling to itself in a language older than speech, a conversation without beginning or end that spans worlds.

Sometimes there is an adherence to a preconceived notion of order and effort. Thus, the separation from the desired, narrowly conceived, ideal is magnified. Even the idea of a new age is paint-by-number following other people's templates, sometimes highly manipulative ones. I say this kindly, little that is authentic actually happens there, though the hosts may demonstrate, for all to see, diligence in daily pursuit of admirable, irreproachable agendas. The unfulfilled dream may have a hidden message for them different from the one they thought they saw.

  16. I have seen some forums that are mentally or emotionally cramped.

    Really?

And there is a dislike of surprise and spontaneity in some places

    Oh, you mean OT!!!!!!

cosmos signaling to itself in a language older than speech, a conversation without beginning or end that spans worlds.

    My kind of forum.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sometimes there is an adherence to a preconceived notion of order and effort

kind of like an archaic Robert's Rules of Order. Order in terms of thought really is odd to me, the lover of tangents.

I find that if you leave things be they find their own natural order.

Thanks for a great answer to my question kad.

  18. I'm back. Anyone around?

I don't mind hugs. I'm quite affectionate with those that don't mind it. I think I get along well with Scorps, though I don't seem to have any in my immediate environment. Most of my Scorp friends are online. My best synastry with a person from LL (LindaLand) is with a Scorpio.

Do I go to sites I went to a year ago? Yeah, I do. LL is ...well, something I can't easily sum up. I've toned myself down greatly over the time I've spent there, though.

The ADHD meeting...seemed like a meeting of a bunch of highly Mutable people. There were about 5 of us that seemed Cardinal to me. I only asked one person their birthday. I was thinking that he was going to be Cardinal. He surprised me with May 14th. Definitely a WHOLE LOT of Mutable energy in there. It's weird, too, because I know astrology could offer a whole new perspective on this disorder.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Agod! Glad you're back!

The ADHD meeting...seemed like a meeting of a bunch of highly Mutable people. There were about 5 of us that seemed Cardinal to me

This is great. I don't find many people who approach astrology this way, and I think It's the way to go.

Noticing the modalities is very very good. And the elements of course. If you really get sense of this, you have a basic feel for the science. This is good news.

    ReplyDelete
  20. My question about the sites was in terms of our changeability. I'm cardinal/mutable and I move a lot, losing interest quickly. Sometimes I kick myself for staying even as long as I do in conversations that don't satisfy.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh, I have to get a link for you. You'll love my astrological artwork. be right back.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ok, I'm going to try an experiment. First, here's the site and thread I want you to see: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/012752.html

Now I'm going to see if I can manage to post an image here. Do you know if I can do it?

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's funny! I was going to learn how to post a pic and I have all kinds of e-mail on it, but I haven't learned yet. Consider this your laboratory.

BTW..."pity party". Is that yours? I like it.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ok, it won't let me post the image itself. I can give you links:

  25. Yeah, you'll have to cut and paste those addresses, or just look at the thread. I thought it was fun to do, but it wasn't a huge hit at LL.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Excellent. I like the last one.

Years ago I got into this and I used deep rich colors. Indigo, violet, beautiful greens. But I never could decide on the colors for the signs.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Pity-Party mine? Oh heck no! :) That's gotta belong to a Cancer or Pisces wouldn't you think?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Do you know how to get your links into the comments?

    href style.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Yeah, I did elements, masculine-feminine, and modalities. I did one with colors dictated by the person I was doing it for:
    http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y208/AcousticGod/Astrology/Spryschart-SignOverHouseColors.jpg
Hot pink fire is pretty cool.

    ReplyDelete
  30. No, I don't.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yes Cancer/Pisces.

I'm a Cancer and I've reached my limit on the pity party. I can't go on feeling the human tragedy forever. I'll never get any work done.
    I might not anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've done that twice now - published anonymously. Didn't mean to.

    ReplyDelete
  33. OK. See if I can explain it without blogger punishing me.

    Here is the thing:
    You start with <
    Then an 'a'
    Skip a space
    href="
    then your link
    then >
    Then your description
    then <
    then /
    then an 'a'
    then >

  34. I happen to know who you are. You're forgiven.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I like deep violet with a lot of red the absolute most.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sounds like my masculine-feminine chart. Ok, here we go:

  37. Yeeeaaayyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Also, if you sign up with blogger it will post your name automatically. Of course, decisions will have to be made, godwise.

    ReplyDelete
  39. My chart is generally masculine and feminine in the appropriate places.

Here is a neat one. It's my girlfriend and my synastry chart. The synastry is a little here and there, but I noticed our elements line up to a degree in our synastry. May explain the familiarity of the connection.
    Our synastry colored

  40. I started signing up for Blogger last night, but I didn't want to choose a name for my blog, because I'm not certain that I'm ready to blog, so I couldn't go through with it.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Interesting. I've never seen that done with the breakup in houses.
What I can't stand is the aspect lines.

I like white space because that's where I see the person and the life. I look at the planets and then other things appear in the spaces, and that tells the full story.

I'm so glad you love astrology.

    ReplyDelete
  42. you don't have to have a blog Just sign up and leave it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. There's a sign up separate from the blog formation.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Click on the "as a different user" in my comment box. It will take you to another box and there is the Google signup.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Hmmm... I'll have to look into that. Yeah, astrology's great. I wish I could look into a chart, and kind of instinctively get some of the things practicing astrologers get. It's a neat gift.

I was actually thinking about this today. For many adults music is seem as kind of another language. They think it's this sort of insurmountable thing that can't be learned as an adult when in actuality it seems pretty simple to a musician. I think astrology might be the same way. It's something akin to a new language, and while it's tough and nuanced, learning it is achievable.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Well, I just tried signing in to my Google account. I don't get any visual clues that it took it, so we'll have to see what it says.

It keeps kicking me back, though I signed into my Google account.

    ReplyDelete
  47. This is a big subject. I know a lot of astrologers but only a few who can really read the person in the chart. Same with music. You can learn the techniques but there is something else that makes a good one.

I don't know if this can be learned. I see other wheels within the wheel, and more about the life than most other astrologers I've seen. Maybe just focus and time reveal the technique that you personally would adopt.

I do think, though, that there has to be natural talent to read in the best way.

For example, your 5th house. It's not just the number of planets, it's the feel. The power of the Moon/Pluto. I feel every chart.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I just checked my google, and it had a different email, so I tried it, and viola!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Yeeeaaayyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well, that's cool, too. What you said kind of takes away the pressure of feeling like there should ever come a time when I should start feeling like an astrologer.

I'm not often asked to look at charts, so on the occasion that I do it takes a bit for me to get into it. I do have a good mind for unusual connections, but it takes awhile for me to gain a sense for the person, and then my lack of experience doesn't make me necessarily confident in my interpretation.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Just read as many as you can. For people. It will come.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I've got a great idea!

Read mine. I'll help you. I'll give you the specs and when you feel like it, let me know. I'm the best there is so if you're going to learn, it can be from me.

  53. The fact that you think in terms of modalities gives me great hope.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Your 8th house is a key to being able to get the deeper themes. It's way beyond the placements. It's a letting go and absorbing.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It may be for the better if it doesn't. I don't need another possibility in the talents-I-could-pursue area.

I think I'm gonna have to call it a night here. I'm having difficulty concentrating.
Thanks for a wonderful day and interpretation. I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Sorry, I hadn't seen these posts. I'd be glad to look at your chart tomorrow. Will be fun!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Good nite acousticgod, and once again...

    Welcome to Raging Universe.

    ReplyDelete
  58. "Oh, you mean OT!!!!!!"

Well, that, too, ha. But more than that! There are lots of variations. In one forum, people were discouraged from giving feedback to each other. People were supposed have private and also group exercises, then post their experiences, but there was a please-do-not-comment-on-my-experience thing from the forum leader. We were just too delicate, and needed to build confidence, you see. The expectation of interaction and feedback could interfere with our progress. A simple question, after a group exercise, "I focused on joining the group, then I saw a light-haired woman seated at a computer....Was that you?", was a no-no. Once they realized how it was, a bunch of people quietly dropped out of the group.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm kinda curious about this group. A psychological thing ar self-help?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Oh, we were supposed to practice astral projection, clairvoyance, healing. That kind of thing. Was probably not the way to do it! My feeling is that things were made much more difficult than they needed to be.

    ReplyDelete
  61. And I think I got a lot from extreme areas like fundamentalist religion, as well as the new age prophets of doom. Probably not what they would want me to take away, though. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  62. supposed to practice astral projection, clairvoyance, healing

What? I didn't think you needed any more practice.
Oh, I know how humble you can be.

    ReplyDelete
  63. LOL!

Aw, shucks. I'm okay with the spontaneous thing and gestalt type impressions, especially using divination props like books, but don't ask me to astral project at will. :-) Certain things are easier than others.

I have been feeling for at least some months an expansion in the energy center at the brow, the so-called third eye. So something is happening, regardless. I don't know how this would show up astrologically, but I might look into it at some point.

I've been told that it has something to do with a past life experience that somehow corresponds with this point in my current life (or vice versa). Which was also the explanation that had already come to me. Or maybe it is a future life. I don't know the details, and have not delved into it any more than noticing it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. but don't ask me to astral project at will.:-)

    I promise I won't.

This expansion is interesting. I'll look at the specs. How are you sensing it?
Im very very interested in past life perceptions. I'd like to do that here if we can get centered and in the frame of consciousness.

We have interesting people gathered and I'd like to make use of this opportunity.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Well, I feel more movement of energy centering there, and a freer, more extensive flow. The energy field is a little bigger or more far-reaching, and there is less resistance. Sometimes an impresson like more rays, somewhat brighter.

I think it would have be tied into alterations on other levels, too. That is, it's not an effect that is just isolated to that area. Maybe the solar plexus is involved.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think the solar plexus is always involved in movement, change. A rebith in a sense every time and the umbilical is stimulated.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The umbilical stimulation is an interesting thought!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Navel-gazing is allowed, ha ha! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  69. I have a whole volume on naval gazing!

The solar plexus effect is there all the time. I think it's related to the initial wounding of the severance, and we spend our whole lives trying to soothe it and reconnect.
I'm going to write about this in a while.
