The Joyous, Lake

I consulted the I Ching last night and found the results very very interesting.
I got Hexagram 58.....Tui/The Joyous.
The joy is infectious and therefore brings success. But joy must be based on steadfastness, while gentleness reveals itself in social intercourse. Under certain conditions, intimidation without gentleness might achieve something momentarily, but not for all time. When, on the other had, hearts are won by friendliness, they are led to take all hardships upon themselves willingly, and if need be will not shun death itself, so great is the power of joy over men.
THE IMAGE
Lakes resting one on the other
The image of The Joyous.
Thus the superior man joins with his friends
For discussion and practice
.

A lake evaporates upward and thus gradually dries up; but when two lakes are joined they do not dry up so readily, for one replenishes the other. It is the same in the field of knowledge. Knowledge should be a refreshing and vitalizing force. It becomes so only through stimulating intercourse with congenial friends with whom one holds discussion and practices application of the truth of life. In this way learning becomes many-sided and takes on a cheerful lightness, whereas there is always something ponderous and one-sided about the learning of the self-taught.
Is that so? Hmmmmm.
I think it's just the Gemini Moon speaking.

This hexagram is so perfect after your discussion of joy last night. And

Perfect description of your blog jm. Here is to a refreshing, vitalizing, stimulating and light New Year!

Juju how beautifully expressed.

Thank you so very much.

And I hope your year is fulfilling and maybe even restful at moments. Most of all, I hope you get use your wonderful talent.

You too jm. I wish you great fulfillment of your talent this year.
I had a day devoted to the senses, skiing in the strong winter light, a beer in the sun afterwards, Janis and some great old sixties stuff on the radio in the car home, then a brief stint in a hot tub. Now I think I can squeeze in a little reading time. A perfect way to end the year.

This is why I trust the universe and see grand orchestration. Why I feel safe since we're serving a purpose to life and will thrive.

Tragically, murder trumped Jesus, Peace On Earth, and Thou Shalt Not Kill this holiday. It was an orgy.
But it's no mistake that the troop death toll reached the perfect round number of 3,000 just now. It affects the psyche. The mind understands 1000's particularly. This is beyond anybody's doing and makes me believe that a message is getting through. The complete revelation of the failure of these scriptures and what-not that has been going on all along and passed by. Amazing that it should come exactly in this interim week with the other events.

This situation will take a serious turn next year as Pluto and Jupiter reach Capricorn. It's in the hands of the entire country, the worldwide collective, and the cosmic workings.

We each have a place in it that is unique, and every tiny effort is important.
It will work out all right. There is an element of grace somewhere.

And this is amazing. Pluto will be making its last station in the Galactic Center, exactly, late in the summer just as Saturn leaves Leo for Virgo, and the South Node gets ready to leave Virgo for Leo. Also the important Mars retrograde in Cancer comes right after. Just as Jupiter enters Capricorn. Work on what has been spoiled will be on the table.

Situations will change. Doing our individual best now will help.

Juju! You did it! You finally found personal pleasure.

I don't think anything ever can be accomplished unless we master this.
Saturn in Scorpio is concerned with the deepest satisfaction and won't fall for less.

Your list of activities sounds great, although I was a complete failure at skiing and never pursued it! It was in the olden days of leather cumbersome ski boots.
I know it's good, though. and who knows....maybe in my 80's I'll get really daring..:-)

I also think this is completely entwined with the worldwide downturn in violence. Situations have to be clearly explained to humankind.

From a cosmic perspective, no one could have prevented the vortex in Iraq. Our implication will have many repercussions as our USA Mars turns retrograde. It started at 29 degrees Pisces. That tells the whole story right there as the North Node goes to its culmination of its transit of Pisces.
It will all be clear in retrospect.

And this brings me back to this hexagram...The Joyous.

I think the only solution is learning together on the smallest scale, cooperating and developing respect. It helps not to have commodities involved since that seems to be the basis for these conflicts. Here in cyberspace we're sharing entirely different things. And even if someone wanted to murder someone else, it would be impossible.

While it's true that most of us share a common metaphysical belief, we are all so entirely different, but here, they are overlooked, as the learning and self expression trump everything else, and prejudices are diminished in the invisibility and personal choice as to what to reveal. There is no impetus, then, to hurt others, when they are providing knowledge and pleasure....and audience.

The seed is already here. Having something genuine to look forward to with people is a thorough joy.

The primitive conflict resolution will continue, but the alternative is always an option. A growing one.

Yes, I wondered, myself, at the "coincidence" of the 3,000th (announced) casualty on the last day of the year.

It might have been contrived, joe, but still the death occurred now, and still, the connection is cosmic.

Everything the rulers do is orchestrated for their aims, but they are pawns in a larger game as we will soon see.
I think they walked into a big trap.

Then again, why would they announce this when they did? This is getting Neptunian again.

I also think the number 3 will have more impact than the 2000 mark. You can even get crazy and see the trinity.

The Moon is in Gemini, number 3, opposite the Pluto in Sag. Possibly some honest (relatively) discussion will start with the new Congress and the events of next year.

One more thing about all this frantic rush to predict the future.

It's said that last year was particulary bad. But look at it logically in retrospect. It wasn't that noteworthy. Mostly media hype. No 9/11s, no invasions, no major catastrophes, and many many people had a fairly usual personal year. The dramatic takeover of Congress was attention-getting, briefly.
My year was interesting but was far less dramatic than a few years ago.

So within the whole, each life is different. Some families had extreme events, some minor.

Same with the future. No matter what comes, people's own lives will have a life of their own.
