A Conversation.

Last night I participated in a wonderful conversation at Raging Universe....three ladies were involved.
Well, the universe might rage, but this talk was anything but. It was relaxed, warm, informative, humorous, and altogether delightful. Immensely enjoyable.
It reminds me of these three fine representatives of the female persuasion pictured above.
Of course, there are eight planets in Libra among us with a few Neptunes thrown in. That would influence matters.

In keeping with the unusual nature of this Christmas, the sun is now shining in Denver, but the atmosphere is still quiet and odd. Confusing. Trash cans are out in strange positions among the drifts, no one knowing when the trucks will come.

Are the things horrible, moderate, or good in the world?

Christmas is normally a standstill moment, but this year war drums are beating and blizzards are blizzing. I imagine Monday will tell the story. Either that or the birth of one of the saviors has lost some impact.

Another interesting development in this Pluto transit.

I noticed where the flap in Congress about Allah's follower is trumping Jesus at the moment. This fascinates me.

People are all hysterical about the remarks but what I see is an amazing development. Bigotry is di rigeur. One frightened fool doesn't usually make a difference. But a strong practicing Muslim is about to be one of the USA's lawmakers being sworn in on the Koran. If this isn't something new I'll eat my ephemeris.

And we're supposed to be at war with the Muslim world, or some such thing.
It must be this Pisces absurdity taking over.

The timing with Christmas of our newly elected Mohammedan is just about perfect.

Hi jm! I'm visiting my family at the moment but am checking out astrodienst to plot my dad's chart. He does not know what time of day he was born, but suggested I ask my grandmother when I see her later this evening. I dunno whether I want to ask because then I will have to explain why I want to know. *sigh* So I took a stab at it by choosing various am and pm birth times, but the results were way off. So then I closed my eyes and let the mouse choose for me in the drop-down menus. It came up with 6:37pm. I checked the Portrait and saw I'm a lot closer than before. We'll see if I'm anywhere in the ballpark if I can figure out how to ask Grandma.

What would you do if you couldn't find out the full birth data?

As a resident of the state with the Muslim congressman, I have to say there's a lot of mixed feelings about him hereabouts. He's definitely no cardboard cutout Muslim bogeyman-- he has a mind of his own. But I think you've nailed the interesting juxtaposition of Islam being highlighted at the time of the Christian god's birth!

Joe! I didn't realize he was your guy. Fascinating. You must keep us in the know.

It's not him, it's the event and symbolism. The swearing in on the Koran has never happened I don't think. The Christian Bible has always been sacrosanct for all kinds of "swearing" ins. I think this is a big moment.

I don't know what the people's reactions are but I do know that a society's prejudices are deeply rooted and individualistic, and hard to change. The Muslim hatred isn't working so far in this country, probably undermining any plans for mass murder. We're electing them, not killing them. Very schizophrenic. Very Neptune. We'll see in February when Saturn comes back.

There is a process for chart times called rectification, where you follow events in a life and try to figure out the house placements. Sometimes it works. I don't worry about all that. If the time is unknown, there is enough to go on with the day.

I see her later this evening. I dunno whether I want to ask because then I will have to explain why I want to know. *sigh*

Ugh. But if your desire is strong enough, you'll explain and get the time.

I have to say again at how amazed I am... this talk about a surge in murder exactly at Christmastime. A frenzy that keeps building. It could so easlily have been a few weeks later. I suppose they are getting in ahead of the new Congress, but what's that saying about the whole Christian belief system in this country? Astounding.

I was close. I intuitively chose 6:37am, but Grandma thinks it was around 7am. He's a double Cap. I never saw a MC tilted so far to the left of the chart, but what do I know? :o) Interesting with a few things that don't mesh with what I know/perceive. If you want to look too, it's 1/17/46, 7:00am, Rochester MN.

That's amazing joe how you figured that one out. Wow. I knew you could do it! Get the time. I'll take a look in awhile.

Lotsa Cap in my immediate family. My mother is also a Moon in Cap. We don't know her birth time either but no matter how I adjust the potential times, it's always a Cap Moon. AC is either Aries or Taurus, both of which make sense to me.

This is so interesting!

I looked at the chart joe and it's fascinating. The whole thing is there. We should take it slowly. Tomorrow will be quiet so I'll try to get started.
