Psssth.

As we've whispered to one another in cyberspace these last years, who knew that our thoughts would be heard?
As most of you now know, Time Magazine has named the all-powerful Person of the Year, We the People, the creators of what has been named the new "Digital Democracy." The town hall in cyberspace is real.

Despite the oncoming ridicule and suspicion about this event, there is an underlying trend that augurs well for politics in America.
The USA has a Moon in Aquarius, indicating a comfort with collective participation. She also has a Mars in Gemini which is a great desire for communication and the skills to do it well. This country has always had magnificent orators and a history of eloquent, spine-tingling speeches. After the deep dip down in elocution with the last so-called leader, people are now ready to forge ahead with their own version of the word.
With Pluto in Sagittarius in the Galactic Center there has been some interest in the truth. A New Moon will be occurring on December 20 in this rich spot, and activity all year will continue with Jupiter in Sagittarius opposing our Mars in Gemini. A natal square to Neptune, and natal Uranus in Gemini are adding to the impact of this multidimensional advancement. This Mars has also recently been transformed by an exact Pluto opposition, exposing the failure of the country's news outlets and spawning the creation of an alternative. These Sagittarius transits will be influencing our Mars in the year to come, as well as our 110th Congress, and all the new people from around the country being heard in the hallowed chatter filled halls.
And most interesting with all of this, is the mutual reception between Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius. The results are finally coming in as the collective mind has found new wavelengths and formed fresh and original pathways. When Neptune was last in Aquarius, the telegraph was invented.
One of the principal technologies which helped to enhance society's 'central nervous system' was the invention of the telegraph between 1834 and 1848. Communications for the country took a huge step forward at this time. Messages which heretofore had been delivered by horse, stagecoach, or clipper ship could now be carried instantaneously across the wires from station to station. This meant that news which had once arrived days or even weeks after the event, could now be transmitted in hours. It was during this period that this collective 'nervous system' was born.

On May 24, 1844, with the Sun and Mercury in Gemini trining Saturn in Aquarius, and Mars also in Gemini trining Neptune in Aquarius, the first telegraph message was sent from the US Supreme Court in Washington, DC to Alfred Vail in Baltimore, MD, by the inventor, Samuel Morse. It read, "What hath God wrought."

In the same way that the telegraph united us in this lightning quick fashion, so now the World Wide Web is helping humanity take another communicational leap, in another sweeping enhancement of our collective nervous system, with it's text, audio, and video potential for the future.
I also think there has been an increase in telepathic communication as a result of these developments.
Many new inventions are scoffed at and ridiculed at first. Who knows that in the years ahead we might not look back and think how foolish we were to underestimate the power and importance of this baby? Of it's impact on the politics of the nation. This, the people's voice. No way of knowing yet.
What hath God wrought? The tablet has come down. Digital Democracy has arrived! Speak up everyone!!
A toast to the Person of the Year!!!

JM, as usual, you've read my mind. Or we're reading each other's minds, which is more likely - it's part of the evolution.

I'll have more on this as soon as I'm off deadline :-)

This is such an exciting development! We've discussed some of the possibilities inherent in this web of connections we have going but it seems to be succeeding beyond anything anticipated!

It was 3 below zero this AM here . . . very white, very still & very beautiful now that the sun is shining. And I'm SO GLAD we've got power!!!!! :-)

very still & very beautiful now

Always happens after great agitation. Heightened appreciation. It's all about contrasts.

I think all events are like the weather patterns as the whole seeks equilibrium. This is why I don't see the Gloom'N'Doom. There isn't a heavy hand of fate up there, just a constant flux trying to get life to continue. A movement from one place to another. Things tighten in some places, loosen in another. Same with the Cap years. Restriction here, freedom there.

After The media disaster with Pluto opposite our USA Gemini Mars has come the rebirth in this form. The best part of all is its newness. The excitement will propel it for some time. We're here at the major kick-off, spending maybe too much time in cyberspace (?) but things will change when they're ready.

So the balance is maintained. Lies and control in the traditional media created freedom in the alternative.

And most of all, all the silliness about waiting for alternatives and revolution in 2012, when a huge one is already here. Created before their very dark eyes. By their own gloomy selves. It's miraculous.

Unfortunately it seems to be in the wiring which is what I hope is being reworked by this mutual reception to some extent.

While the masses were screaming about George Bush and George Orwell, waiting daily for a terror attack, and then the nuttiness of fear around Pluto in Capricorn, the Neptune and Uranus were operating beautifully. The only attention paid to this was to moan in agony about delusions and deceptions.

sure, they were part of it. But I was amazed at how most of what was going on with these transits was overlooked in favor of the fear. All this outer evolutionary dancing.

As I said, hopefully a little rewiring by the cosmic electrician will improve things. Maybe.

My Mercury is all tied up with Neptune and Uranus and I love it!

I entered the computer age when the right wing began their quest to openly destroy Bill Clinton. I clicked on to CNN on my computer (that I had purchased for graphics) and saw that they had message boards. I had never seen message boards before so I read with interest, all those opinions being registered from all over the world. It was wonderful. After about a month of reading I very shyly posted a comment, and people answered me. Not long after that, I saw my remarks quoted on CNN. I was numbed. That happened many times after that. I was amazed.

As time went by and CNN took a markedly conservative turn, mine and many other posters remarks were deleted out of hand, and I knew things were taking a darker road, so I branched out to other political blogs. Concurrently, Clinton was impeached, and news coverage of actual events continued to dwindle. I began to post news articles every day from newspapers all over the world, and I found there were more like me who saw the same thing happening. It became an unpaid job that I went to every day, and worked diligently, finding and posting news, signing on to e-mail lists, and creating one of my own. My painting, glass work, and general creativity stopped and all that energy was channeled into information, and trying to overcome the fierce right wing that moved in lock step to overrun everyone and everything in their path. Sometimes I thought I must be crazy to be so focused on the dissemination of news, but I continued. My husband wondered what had happened to his wife. We had just built my glass studio, and it was left unused. My paint collected dust, and I lost my artists edge that is held only through practice. It was confusing.

As the Bush years accumulated and the manipulated fear became an ever louder drumbeat, I continued....sometimes without hope, but I could not stop, and one day, Olberman started his "Special Comment" portion of his news program on MSNBC. That was the day I knew I could look for a spinning wheel. I need a rest, and some zen time to recuperate. My e-mail lists blossomed and some of it became other people's blogs, some very big.

If it were not for the political bloggers, Time would not have cared about bloggers. The power brokers wouldn't be trying to create large fines for them, the news would be even more like Pravda than it is today. It has cost me a great deal, and I am only one person. There are many, many more, who dug for truth, or some version of it, and sent it out there into the ethers, where more people sent it out to their lists....and the beat goes on.

Political bloggers are truly heros. They've made a difference in a very serious situation.

Now we just have to convince people that they could benefit greatly from astrologers.

You are a visionary, Astrid. A hardworking visionary at that! No wonder the notion of peacefully spinning is so appealing to you after all the time dedicated to diving for gold on the internet.

The political blogs have garnered the most attention but they are just one facet of a glittering kaleidoscope out there. The blogs featuring Astrology have been proliferating like crazy this last year. And from what little I've cruised, many are good astrologers. Now jm is a Great Astrologer, as are Pat P & Lynn Hayes! It's a very exciting time to be connecting to a marvelous new data base, changing & growing as we write!

You have made a greater contribution than you may realize through the dissemination of your carefully selected materials. ((((Astrid))))

Astrid. My god. How eloquent.

After about a month of reading I very shyly posted a comment, and people answered me. Not long after that, I saw my remarks quoted on CNN. I was numbed. That happened many times after that. I was amazed.

What an experience. This is part of the development. We used to have to write letters to the editor and few got published.

My painting, glass work, and general creativity stopped and all that energy was channeled into information, and trying to overcome the fierce right wing that moved in lock step to overrun everyone and everything in their path.

Exactly what happened to me. So worrisome yet I was compelled. Now I think this has made a difference and there will be a pay-off as I reconnect with my self. Something internal has changed which I think will affect my work profoundly.

My husband wondered what had happened to his wife

Sweet.

My paint collected dust, and I lost my artists edge that is held only through practice. It was confusing.

Do I ever hear you. I've battled every minute with this but then I think of the Woman in the Dunes director who gave up film for 20 years. That's too long for me, but I do know that fallow fields yield more crops.
Sometimes a break needs to be imposed. I know as an artist I feel like I have too much to express and too little time. But that's really false. This experience is teaching me new things. And I sense the best artistic phase ahead. It's been good to let go of it.

Now we just have to convince people that they could benefit greatly from astrologers.

Big subject to tackle. I got out of counseling because the people weren't ready. Astrology also is in crisis and needs to get on her feet. There are a lot of people doing a not-good service to the science. It will come together. People will be attracted if the good astrologers just put it out. That will be the convincing aspect. Quality.

Beautiful post, astrid. Thank you.

Oh oh oh. Do I ever agree. Common courtesy, one of the most important things in the social order. If we respect ourselves we'll treat others accordingly.

There's a time and place for vulgarity and all that but I think it's a more private ritual. Or should be.

I've screamed many obscenities in my time. very good at it. It's so odd, this experiment I'm doing. Being ultra civilized. Just to balance the recent upchuck from this society.

Me too. It's a hard habit to break, neith, I think. It's a sissy thing to be kind and gentle. They confuse rage with power but it's not the right kind. There can be a full beautiful expression of fury, but not this repetetive petty gossipy kind so prevalent. It's demeaning to the person speaking even more than to the target. I can't follow it. But they need the outlet. It's better than physically hurting others.

It's really not easy to express ourselves well, but I think Saturn in Leos are particularly attuned to a dignified representation. I'm feeling that moreso now.

I've always enjoyed my Aquarian friends who could dialogue for hours and be easy-going and fascinating. Not all, of course. Just my friends.

Another thought neith.
I think Scorpio is a lot about self mastery. Impulse control. Immediate gratification. These people get a twinge of sensation and immediately blurt it out, no editing or control. No matter who it disturbs. Maybe your Scorp rising is paricularly bothered by this after all the hard work of mastering yourself. You know it can be done.

My major concern is the disconnect. We have the leaders we do because of the society in which hate and resentment are applauded. Violence almost a religion. Bitterness and blame the norm. The more people continue this the later we will have dignified leadership. It's got to start at the source.

I don't read any of the comments anymore. Not since having this alternative. I'm satisfied. And I think there are more civilized people around than is obvious. They tend to be quieter..:-)

Neith really. We've just begun. There is so much we can do by consolidating, even planning, to counteract the negativity.

I really am of the opinion that one can't fight it best directly, but by "synergizing" and maintaining a slight distance. The concentric circle factor. We can do it.

I think for a while I had to be immersed in the collective agony to feel it, but now it seems the best approach is to put all effort into the solution.

Something that's been nagging at me for awhile is the emphasis on timing of these outer planet cycles. Yet I remember Steve Arroyo talking about how the groundwork for an outcome represented by an specific aspect can be laid years in advance. It's easy to get caught up in the projections into the future without the recognition of the work done in the now.

It's all about patterns on a large scale, isn't it. Most astrologers into prediction seem to get sidetracked by the details rather than seeing the really big ebbs & flows. That's why I like dealing with individuals . . . :-)

Speaking of Uranus. This explains something. Your Uranus at 21 is exactly between my 22 Moon and 20 Jupiter. That's close. Instant intimacy and ease of together/apart. emotional electricity and insight. Just knowing emotionally.

I wish I could remember where I read that wisdom goes only where she is invited. Civility (civilization) is a minimum requirement. I've noted that she also moves around a lot. Those who adopt her tend to want to keep her the way she is but, like love, she needs to stay fresh and new.

Pat! It's late. I keep tuning in just when you've posted, speaking of mind reading. Remember way back when, when it was getting ridiculous how often we did this? Looks like it's happening again.

wisdom goes only where she is invited

This is wonderful and encapsulates the whole thing. Don't you think it's about time we got civilized? Ot at least started practicing?

Those who adopt her tend to want to keep her the way she is but, like love, she needs to stay fresh and new

I'll let her do whatever she wants as long as she sticks around the vicinity. Gives me her cell number.

AM . . . I copied directly from Astrodienst & they use the 24 hr clock, so PM is always bigger numbers. (just reread that elegant statement . . . sheesh)

Pat, you are on a roll . . . this is a gem!! Must be the combination of being back home & working waaay long hours . . . :-)

Well it seems like you ladies have been busy here. Neith, in order to be part of a blog like the ones I write for, combat is expected. Being a warrior does have its downs. It does tend to wear you down. There are always those that will wish to come down on you for reporting the obvious. It takes a thick skin to say the least.

My blog is mild when compared to most political blogs. Not even close to being the battle ground that some like Kos tends to enable. I am lucky in the fact that I have a lot of peace activist that are regular readers.

I actually had everyone wondering what happened to me when I was spending so much time over here. I took a break and got some rest. They just could not figure out what happened to me! LOL!

Donnie, coming by & saying this is exactly why I like you. I was good & refrained from saying something snotty & a total waste of time . . . :-) What you are doing is important as it provides a place for opinions to be expressed by all sorts - truly what this country is all about, IMO. However, like jm, I believe I will keep my focus here & my own space. We sure welcome your visits though! Think of it as taking a vacation . . . :-)
