It's Absolutely Ridiculous.

Here it is, eleven days before Xmas, and it's Springtime in the Rockies. No wonder I keep posting grass. And tomorrow's even warmer.
I was going to jot down a note and send it off to Santa, but I just can't get with it.
Christmas??

Neith, I've been trying for days to post on your blog. No dice!

Sen. Tim Johnson (D-S.D.) underwent emergency surgery overnight to repair bleeding inside his brain and was "recovering without complication"

I hope this country does too.

Never know what a day can do. Great news for Senator Johnson and family.

And you've officially signed in to Blogger before going over there to post?! Weird . . .

When I saw the news about Johnson, I immediately wondered how many conspiracy theories would surface . . but I was good & didn't ruin my mood by going to look! :-)

Yes. I tried everything. The trickery of the unkown is at work I think.

LOL! The theories went wild of course. Sad, isn't it? Like trained monkeys. Wise not to look.

But the worst part was the media insanity about the Dems losing power. Fox, I hear, drooled incessantly. I can't believe the public doesn't have enough morality to create a better news corps. How many lifetimes will I have to live to see it?

It's amazing how human feelings are trumped by politcal gain. How did this happen?

I think people are in post Mars/Jupiter shock.

That was a dooozy! Tine for some R&R before the New Moon and Solstice. They should be deep and calm though.

The next Cancer/Sagittarius lunation is rich. It should be intersting. FM in your Cancer intercept.

I wonder about Johnson and the exact Mars/Jupiter conjunction. All this truth coming out.

I always hope that deep down people know and sense what they're doing. People hoping he'd die. Natural, of course. Probably goes into the subconscious punishment bank. So we end up with these governments.

After we get through all the planets in Sag squaring Uranus . . . I know I'm ready for a slower pace. We all need to catch our collective breath at the Solstice to prepare for the upcoming new year.

AND we're getting your snow today!!! I'm going to see if I can sneak home before it gets deeper. :-)

Actually I think we're getting snow after all. so the lights will start to make sense!

Sneak on home! Good place to be.

We are snowless. Normally we get around 13 inches of it by this date, but only a few piffly flurries and rain. Not normal at all. But then, nothing is normal anymore, is it?

Was it ever? You're talking to a Uranian though, and I think we deliberatley avoid normalcy.

The earth does change. When I moved here the winters were colder and snowier. I think this is cyclic (as well)(instead of) the dreaded man made disaster.

Hard to say what normal is. We don't live long enough.

very true. Good to be reminded of this, our longevity (or lack thereof). I've read talk that we're coming out of an ice age, hence the warming we're seeing.

LOL!!!!!! The human creature!

I've read talk that we're coming out of an ice age

And I've read that we are coming INTO an Ice Age, hence the warming!

I do think there is one every 11,500 years according to the precession of the equinoxes. So I think we have one coming up.

Volcanic activity on the ocean floor, some say causes earth warming in cycles. Since 95% is unexplored, who can tell?

jm, I read that as long as Tim Johnson doesn't die or resign, then the Repubs can't do anything to get him out of office. They need a two-thirds vote and that would mean 16 dems would have to defect.

Ha! fat chance!

Casey, I think our senator is going to be fine. Let the Repubs sweat bullets now. They're going to have a lot of opportunities.
Damn them all with their freakin politics!

The GOP should want to guard their health, too. Mandatory fitness programs might be a good idea for elected officials. They owe it to the people who elected them. ;-)

Not really a bad idea. Good use of Pluto in Capricorn. The whole society needs thinning, firming, and trimming.

And whom better than our elected leadership to set the example? The fat trimming starts here.

Speaking of being trim, fit and healthy, I was amused today to read that children with higher IQs are more likely to have become vegetarians by age 30. The British study found no significant difference in IQ between people who were vegetarian and people who eschewed red meats but still ate fish and poultry, though.

This is great! I love these facts. Very interesting about the red meat.

I'm a vegetarian and hope that slowly it will become more common. People can't keep blaming the corporations, the whole meat industry being beyond belief in its horror, and still eat their products.

Very very good news about HRT and the 7% reduction in breast cancer. The way replacement hormones are manufactured is tragic. This was fast and shows how the people can have power when they really want to. I guess they have to be scared enough.

I'd like to know why the IQ affects this. Will power is involved since after the choice, the application can often be difficult.

I wonder if IQ inflences decision making and follow through.

Could be! I do find that heavier meals in general makes it harder to concentrate, and brings on drowsiness. More difficult to accomplish anything if I doze through the afternoon after lunch.

Some people claim that eating more fresh fruits and vegetables makes it easier for them to wake up and start their day without feeling sluggish. They believe there is a finer form of subtle energy in fresh foods, particularly the fruits and leafy greens.

I'm sure there will be more studies to tease out the various factors.

I did read that vegetarian children who also avoided dairy products did a little worse on IQ scores.

Very discouraging news today. The fat is rising and TV watching is up in the society. I hope the Capricorn years solve some of this.

It's possible with the Mars retro progression that this will become clear as we turn to the concept of self defense. One can't be strong and safe when sick and overweight. Maybe this will have to be enforced to some extent in the coming years. How far can the American girth grow?

It's not that hard to program healthy habits if desired. I see the trend coming though.
