Well, typically, in this emptiness people are afraid and what better thing to do than cling to the future, including trying to predict Pluto in Capricorn.

Some think that there will be suffering and that magically in 2020 or so, all will be well. Maybe so, but probably not. Pluto in Capricorn is just another few years of experience like all the rest.

Remember Pluto through Scorpio?....?.....?...?

Not really. People are too busy decrying Sagittarius and the upcoming Capricorn. Pluto through Scorpio was painful too but in retrospect things fall into place. So will Pluto through Sag. And so will Pluto through cap.

It's not that scary or complicated. Pluto in Cap will alter the economics. The Sag transit chaged foreign policy. This country has been going to foreign lands, crippling the economies and making the people dependent, and stealing resources. The jig is up now.

But every single person in this nation is responsible in the lust for cheap commodities. It's time to start thinking about greed on every level. Not what Pluto or the government are going to do.

The sooner this is done, the sooner cooperation will occur and our Libra lessons will be learned.

It was in desperation that I turned to the Daily Puppy. My world is filled with seriously disfuncional people today, and when I turn to look at the big picture of the world, there is no comfort. Only the Daily Puppy was put right in front of me. I took that as a strong message, and when I came here I saw you observing some of the same things I was observing, and I knew you could use some undeniable love that can only come from the innocent.

It's a true balm.

I don't think you know how sweet and funny you truly are, astrid. What a statement.

I could not agree with you more:

when I turn to look at the big picture of the world, there is no comfort.

That's why we have down comforters, furry pets, sincere friends, lovers even, indoor plumbing, running HOT WATER ( a

How coincidental. I just took a long, hot bath. I needed it after today-- Everyone wants a piece of me and there's only so much to go around!

But hot water absorbs the stresses and negativities and carries them down the drain, leaving me relaxed and warmed all over.

Love the Puppies!!! When I see puppies I just want to take them all home . . . I love puppies & puppies love me. Much more susceptible to small furry cuties like puppies & kittens than baby humans, the exception being the babies in my immediate family.

jm, over on my blog in the comment section of the Eagle totem, I posted a link Astrid sent to an article by Michael Lutin. We need to refine our alternative vision for the upcoming Pluto in Cap transit 'cause so many astrologers are stuck in "doom & gloom". Very annoying that . . .

Contemplating the vision of my finished bath & puppies is infinitely more satisfying!! :-)

Neith, I'd feel like a one woman crusade if it weren't for you. I'm going to push on. I learned personally from Lutin but this article is a parroting of the others. And why now? Why not a few weeks later when Cap comes in and we can really think about it?

Why can't we feel good for a second in between bouts? What is it with the hand of destiny like the guillotine? I don't understand.

Well the best thing to do is discuss it rationally.

First things first.

I think almost everyone is overlooking the importance of Iraq. This is a watershed moment for this country and our foreign policy. What we do now is the most important thing going....
not 2012 or 2020. What we do now will have great bearing on this future. So we'd better stick to what's happening with this situation.

Just as Kerry said, we are "stuck in Iraq". We have to face it. Bush will bumble out but the next president will be elected with a 29 degree Pluto in Sagittarius. He should be the one to lead us out, and out we must go.

How this is accomplished has everything to do with our future. If we learn this Sagittarius lesson now, we'll be better off. But running away to the future won't work.

It seems like most everyone is in denial, not just the government. Almost everyone is underestimating the ramifications here, the symbolism, blaming who knows whom. But the most important thing being missed is the incredible opportunity to do something right.

If the next pres can part ways with the colossal mistake of the previous one, we can chart a better path and can stop being terrified of the future.

NOW is the time.

The war started with Pluto at 19 degrees Sagittarius, exactly on George Bush's South Node. Tseka has information from her body of knowledge that coincides with this.

Jupiter will be crossing this point in March just as the Saturn/Neptune opposition ends and Pluto stations retrograde to return to the Galactic Center. It will be the anniversary of this event as well.

And guess what? Jupiter will return to this exact point just as Pluto is leaving the GC for the last time.

Opportunity? Knowledge? You take a guess?

Will Bush go down the hole as a symbol of our debris? And fulfill his North Node in the 11th collective destiny?

Forget about 2012 for the moment.

12/12/06 10:25 PM

And I'd like to add that the thing I find most misleading about these predictions is the notion that nothing good will happen in the near future. So we might as well forget it and suffer.

Great. Just leave it alone and do nothing? Wait for some fool revolution?

This is ridiculous. Suffering or not, all that we do until later is important. This is like saying we should be lazy and forget it because we're screwed.

The idea that our next president won't be good, as they say, is not the point. Whoever he is, he will be part of our destiny so we should be working to a positive end now, no matter what. The irritants are the motivation to progress. And we happen to be wired for this concept.

Thinking it's hopeless is the lazy man's way out.

Hi jm - Astrid brought this article on Pluto in Cap to my attention and I'm just going to post a snip here as it's long:

Many of us fear further oppression and the growing of a police state. To the extent that we project our responsibility for crafting the fabric of our experience onto "the Government," the police state will arise to provide the discipline that we unconsciously desire. In many ways the police state is already with us with the War on Drugs, the War on Terror and the Class War all keeping us in constant fear and willingness to hand over our rights and accept monstrosities like the Patriot Act. Pluto in Capricorn could be about taking down this tower of lies, making our desires for peace and freedom real by the force of our actions, if we have the courage to act.

Here's link to the whole article on Planet Waves by Greg Foster:

I still think we should focus on the here and now and the Iraq situation first.

The police state fear needs to be analyzed though. It's rampant and is saying something about people's own lives. The lack of self discipline is a problem with the overeating and over consumption. The police state could very well be HIGH PRICES.

I'm taking in no more of this repetetive talk at this time from others. There is too much to do now. I'm relieved though that they've all had their say and now we can proceed with intelligence, hopefully.

Restriction and discipline can be done at any time though. It's absolutely true that people want control now. But I don't believe it's some sinister plot to become a dictatorship. It's perfectly natural that after the excess of Sagittarius comes the strictness of Capricorn.

Police states come to people who cannot govern themselves. This last election proved that we most certainly can.

As A Cancer country, this control means that every time we get insecure we might have to learn to stop running to consumer palaces and stuffing plastic bags full of crap. We don't need huge houses with 5 toilets per capita. We could learn not to idle away fossil fuel in traffic daily. We don't need 50 items of food on a plate swimming in 50 sauces. I suppose all this would be equal to a police state here.

If people trim the fat in every way they probably would be less afraid. Fat is associated with fear and need for protection. A police state would make everybody obese with all that fear.

ha, ha, ha!! As a people Americans really need to learn the lesson of developing security within themselves, don't they! I see Saturn in Leo as learning that extravagance is unnecessary if one' heart is joy full.

You are right . . the more we govern ourselves, the less likely external means will manifest. OK people, get your act together!!! :-)

We're not nearly homogenous and small enough for a "police state" in the most literal sense. On the other hand, there is no such thing as an entirely free state without some government oversight. We're going to be somewhere in the muddle.

The collective fear has been harmful for me so now I'm going to focus on deleting it.

Before anyone believes someone else's prediction about violence and police states it's a good idea to check track records.
Of course there will be government intrusion into personal lives. We're seeing that now.

There is one factor in all of this. The Pluto return. We are now in the 12th house part of that cycle. The end of the old. It's also possible, as I've seen in my experience that this is the worst part. Sometimes this happens right before. My Saturn return, though not exactly fun, was worse a couple of years ago in the leadup. That's when I got involved in all this mass paranoia and forgot my self confidence. By the time Saturn returned the confidence was ready to be built.

Like the lunations. Most of what happens is right before the full moon.

September 11 was a turning point and part of this ending. I'm not so sure we have the time now to deal with emperors, kings, or dictators. Not with a country full of aging people and economic problems, with people still immigrating.

Last Monday China opened it's banks to international competition after being state owned almost entirely. The economic dynamic will be in flux these next years as banking, investment, and all these Cap things are affected.

I see nothing of all of this in these predictions. Just the exact same repeated police state, revolution talk, with occasional massive earth change/economic collapse thrown in. It seems to me like groupthink.

Yes. And a thousand other reasons.

We're in the dark night part of the year when imaginations run wild but this is also a good time to get a grip for the onslaught of fear coming.

OK people, get your act together!!! :-)

Excellent idea. let's be a beacon.

As far as government oversight goes, the real battle will probably be between the central government and the states. There is no reason to police the citizens like predicted. It's costs way too much money and they always give up on it. We've always resisted it and always will. The nature of this place.

Just look at what just happened to this administration. That's the clue.

Sometimes detachment is a wonderful thing. If you step back and really observe these people they seem like children vying for attention wanting to stand out and be important, but they end up just like the others. Same thing with the WH wannabes right now. All very immature.

As Pluto goes into Capricorn next election cycle you will see the change as things take a serious turn. We are in a bad situation in Iraq and we have to do something. This is going to become apparent soon.

If we paid "strict" attention to the here and now rather than fly off into the imagined future perhaps some of this wouldn't happen. Last election got people a little bit riveted to the current problems.

Capricorn is like that. Attention to the material concerns of the time.

This will happen as logistics of government are worked out at the same time, Neptune in Aquarius will be continuing to activate our ideals.

So called astrologers are not looking at the whole picture.

And if I may, one more thing.

What is it exactly everyone is afraid of?

Is it really Dick Cheney? Is it really the Illuminati? Is it really Muslims? Is it really guns and men in uniforms?

Fear is real. But everytime the fear gets aroused by these predictions I always ask, "what is the real fear inside that this is triggering". If they can make you this afraid so easily, governments included, then maybe there will be an Orwellian fantasy come true

There is a lot of conservative dismay at the moment. They've proven themselves with their small/non government.

The price to pay for more government. A little more restriction and control. Much needed I would say unless we'd like to throw away a few more cities.

Fear of authority figures?

This is what's behind it all. And why? guilt probably, so they think the hand of god is going to punish them in the form of a politician. Huh?
Why not look at oneself for the key and the path to maturity and improvement.

Goes back to the chart and the self. The view toward authority and paternalism is written clearly there. I had a gentle loving father, so there you are. Sun in Cancer, Mars conjunct Neptune. And my attention is drawn to the more dignified well spoken public figures. I don't have anything in common with the scary ones. And I don't tangle with authority. Even in court. They usually go along with ny requests.

So if that dictator arrives, I'll ignore him. I was totally astounded at the power they gave Bush, a little schnook, although he's doing a good job of destroying his father. Impressive, really.

Maybe growing up is scary to some people.

Yes. Autonomy. So this heavy Cancer immature country will be growing up a bit. Painful? yes. Call in the dogs and guns? Probably not.

The main thing to consider is the natural flow of events. We have a huge aging population with growing political power and this will naturally bring maturity. The wisdon and experience of age is a given.
I doubt very much that a violent revolution will be necessary.

Okay, let's start with this.

Pluto symbolizes; bringing death to that which is undergoing decay and life to that which is still vital, Pluto quickens and intensifies the process of life.

I'm not so sure Pluto alone is death. Death is a timing factor. Other entities are involved. It could be the elimination after death. It rules the feces after digestion is complete and the waste is ready to be expelled. And Pluto rules beings after death.

Pluto does not quicken. It might intensify. I am in years of a Pluto transit and no quickening has occurred. If anything, it's slowed things down. Only one big shock happened, so I have my doubts about the deep shock factor he mentions.

Now onward. His credibility is alredy suspect.

As resources dwindle we certainly won't be able to maintain the levels of consumption we've grown accustomed to in the industrialized nations.

This part is correct.

we're seeing an unprecedented level of consumption in the industrialized nations threatening to destroy our entire biosphere as we welcome war and ignore such grave threats as global warming and pollution. In the time of Diocletian only a portion of the Earth was covered by the gluttonous beast of Empire; the Empire now covers the entire planet with every square inch mapped, zoned, and accounted for by the landlords/warlords who would like to squeeze every last drop of oil from the good green Earth.

This is overemotional and wrong. Manipulative. The empire does not cover the entire planet and the war lords are not in charge. It's distribution as much of the earth is not populated. 95% of the ocean floor is unexplored. This is groupthink nonsense.

Yes. We're over consuming and polluting. But there are solar cycles in charge of the heat, plus volcanic activity on the ocean floor that effects this. The earth has been this warm before. Usually preceding an Ice Age. So no one knows exactly what is going on here. And the above kind of talk is childish.

It's megalomaniacal to think man is in charge. The earth is and we are her creations. She knows exactly what she's doing.

Yes. Populaion adjustments always accur. War is inefficient. Pandemics do better. But it is all selective.
