A Return To Elegance

With the Moon now in Capricorn taking us to the Sun soon to be in Capricorn, the usual serious tone is settling in, along with the winter, certainly here in Colorado.
The season is high, as glimmering lights spill their sparkle on gowns and tuxedos at holiday parties, concerts, and gala celebrations nationwide.
There's been some speculation about a return to elegance in the coming Capricorn years. I'm in favor of this. I love the country, I live in a rural enclave within a large city. I also love the urban beat, the night life, and the warmth of human celebration. There's magic and otherworldiness in the air when I put on my finest fabrics, my fabulous fake furs, and of course, my beloved rhinestones, and venture out for a night on the town.
It's been ages since I've done this, and I wouldn't mind opportunities to do it again. But most of all I would rejoice with the return of graciousness, manners, and elegance to all areas of my society.
Yes, I would welcome it enthusiastically.

I've been pondering how we shifted the tone on our blogs (including Pat P's) to a mannerly place. You know, it's just time to move on from being "down & dirty". It's simply BORING!!!! Let's celebrate a return to the use of rich vocabularies to express ourselves.

So . . . how deep is the snow outside your door?! The weather service was calling for 2 to 4 FEET of snow falling in the greater Denver area . . . :-)

The boring part is the worst. Finally did me in. Very very very very very repetetive. How much ominous darkness can there be?

Snow????????????????

Haven't even checked the depth. I've got plenty of power! We both got it this season. Are we doing something wrong? Or right?

My toilets work too!

That's respectable! Say, have you had a chance to read Dan Furst's Solstice article?! It's very interesting stuff . . . both Pat & i have links to it. Pat's is easiest to find as it's in her post. Joe was very excited by what Dan had to say. . . . :-)

I'll have to tell you the truth neith. I'm not reading him anymore. The last one irritated me. Don't like his writing style. Way overdone. He could say it in 1/20 of the words. Whatever it is he's trying to say. But if there is anything to report of interest, let me know.

I really really really have reached my limit with their predictions.

I've looked long and hard at the whole thing neith. I think most people are personally confused and are holding the collective up. I love metaphysics and I know it could be better. I really do feel there is crisis and transition going on now in all branches tied in with the Pluto in Sag weeding out the dishonesty. Too many are using it soley to impress others. I am sorely missing humbleness, accuracy, and something genuine. My truth to myself is long overdue.

I find it impossible to believe and follow these folks anymore. I have to look elsewhere, since the jibberish has become a distraction and gives me headaches. Too much Mars in me.

I parting ways with Dear Dan when he got on that massive earth change/economic collapse crap.

It ain't gonna happen. We cosume 25% of the world's shit. Who's gonna take our money away?

Some very intersting money deals are coming up with Pluto in Cap. Lots of money has been in reserve and we'll see how it's spent.

And I'm in a massive earth change right now and it's a piece of cake!

And let me take this opportunity to say something about Mars/Uranus. I've lived with this square, tight--2 degrees, all my life. This is a prime example.

Mars/Uranus is often the surgical sword that can cut loose the bullshit completely when the time comes. NONVIOLENTLY even. No sentimental claptrap, no fear, just adrenalin and the impulse to get free.

So, so long Dan.

In essence, he's saying "oh, by the way, the world isn't going to come to an end after all". Here is one little snip that i believe represents the tone:

that revolution is not a violent transfer of power, but "a transformation of relationships." The problem is not that the event itself is necessarily bloody or fearful. It's that human beings are slow to notice the change, and imagine the new possibilities. And that dramatic, scary scenarios fascinate us.

That last sentence is why we see so much of the "doom & gloom" . .

And that dramatic, scary scenarios fascinate us.

Yaaaayyyyy!!!!!!!!

Absolutely correct. Gold start for Dan! Thank you neith!

Experiments in the lab have shown that the human brain is wired to prefer fear. Imagine this. Show a person a picture of a beautiful garden and a scene of blood and tortue. You know exactly where the eye will go and stay.

Could be for survival reasons at this point.

The news is only a reflection of this human characteristic. The D&G is universal and those that really are sincere about changing have to be vigilant and relentless.

Revolution means to revolve...turn...circle around.

I think revolution would be working with/against a central force while evolution would be moving away.

So he's right again about revolution being a change in the existing order.

It's SNOWING! OMG, we had huge wet globs of snow tumbling down earlier, like gigantic feathers from a cosmic down comforter. The power went out briefly, then came back on. I was just getting sleepy and thinking of a nice nap.

I'm sure we're in for more, though.

Revolution and evolution are occuring all the time. So a prediction of violence is difficult to make. A good idea for everyone would be to look at history, geography, economics, sociology, psychology, and anthropology to see what conditions are present for a violent overthrow. Then one could marry the metaphysics with the reality on the ground.

Dan's comment about transformation of relationships really struck me as a core issue. And the number one relationship we need to transform is often the one we have with ourselves . . .

This is the essence. Why doesn't this get through?

My dream come true with Uranus in the sign of the self...Aries...would be to bring this point just a tiny spec closer to home.

Autonomy, decision making, self control, independence of thought and action, self determination...all these things are the foundation of a free society. Only when the individual recognizes her directorship of her destiny will we have good government. All the D&Gers are handing over their power on a platter. Burns the hell out of me. The solstice Mars/Uranus is starting to get to me.

It enrages me to see perfectly intelligent people cower under the imagined gun, like they're doing right now with this war game. Being gamed and kept down in fear and subjugation.

The USA has an Aries 4th house...a foundation of independence and autonomy. We are fundamentally free. This is where Uranus is headed. The return to roots.

Why most people have so much difficulty seeing through the illusion is surprising. However, they don't our advantage of a long & intimate relationship with Neptune. We've spent years working through separating fantasy from fact . . . and I STILL have my moments! Of course, with that Merc in Scorp on my ASC, I do have an attachment to getting to the bottom of things . . :-)

Yes you do!

I'm a total fool for fantasy, but I choose them well. The ones that keep me paralyzed are chucked out, especially when manufactured by someone else. If there is a real threat, I feel compelled to find out exactly what's going on before jumping into madness and paranoia. And then I try to figure out exactly what I can do.

The Middle east for example. There's too much money to be made for any real destruction and chaos. This is so much gaming it's amazing. It's business. The Iraq thing is minor in the big picture, with a volunteer army and mercenaries. People here have no idea what a real threat is like. A real war. They are living just as they always do, eating high on the hog and pushing the gas pedals to their full satisfaction.

Granted, there is always danger around and no one here wants to see their glorious royal lifestyle disturbed, but it's a good idea to study it carefully.

Still no one wants to do what would really work, as I've said so many times. Stop pigging out. If they really want the troops home and an end to ME conflict they would start thinking about these things too.

We'll see when Saturn opposes Neptune soon.

It's the height of naivete to think that the Bush family and the neocons are responsible for this. And that when they're gone, which will be soon, that it will be Okay. Or in 2020 and after Pluto leaves Capricorn. This is still shirking responsibility.

The masses have an insatiable greed that they have allowed the elite to try and satisfy. It's a contract that goes all the way back.

This infantile blame of the government stalls our progress. we ARE the government whether we want to face this reality or not. It's all one.

In and around Jingle bells, Oh Holy Night, and all the little hands grasping for 1000's of dollars worth of commodities, is the cry against war. And how did all the goodies get to them? OIL! Transportation. But they want to lynch George Bush instead of opening up their hands and letting go. Embracing something that doesn't require oil.

I'm not saying we all shouldn't enjoy the material benefits of life. All I wish is for simple arithmetic. To be honest with themselves in recognizing their contribution in the hideous game of resource war. To put two and two together instead of waiting for the ominous end.

And the hucksterism with politicians and celebrities. All the National Enquirer type behavior that people follow while the leaders are just distracting them and getting their money. Every stupid thing they say becomes a major news item. How in the world will war end with this going on?

It's beyond me.

The word transformation has been so overused by metaphysicians that it has become like a nonsense word. It seems to me they grab for that one when they can't really explain it. And the darkness into the light. It's not really happening and it's always happening. There isn't a magic moment when everybody gets it. All subjective, solstice or no. Galactic Center or no.

The fact is, it can't be explained. Religion, mysticism, belief, magic, and all those things are subjective. there are 1,000,000 interpretations of all of them. I know the group wants to cling together, but it shouldn't be at the scraifice of individual intepretation. People don't know. Don't have the answers to the age old puzzles. What fun would that be? The joy is in the pursuit. And doubt is useful to some extent when taking it all in. They're learning but it all needs to be sifted and chosen according to what really resonates with the self, even if it doesn't with others.

Mostly our own thoughts contain the clues.

For example, pick any number, say the number 3, loaded with symbolism historically. All numbers are really. Man has made everything symbolic.

To some the number 3 will have great significance, sending all kinds of messages through the brain. To others, not much. Maybe 7 will.

We're in the same universal consciousness but the beauty is that in each individual the wiring is unique, and so is our symbolism.

So who has the answers?

Everyone.

Ja jm, here is my passion, discovering the patterns of the spirit...in homeopathy the cure is found in matching the exactly similar patterns of person and substance. Each of us is unique, yet our patterns correspond to a similarity found in times of day, season, plant, mineral substances and to animals and diseases. Myth observes these patterns sets them to a story. Helps us see, remember.

What happens on one level repeats on others. It is beautiful and elegant.

Hej Joe, happy snow!

I am slightly envious of you all, i love snow. Love to ski. Love to get lost sitting next to a window watching the flakes swirl down. Not much makes me feel happier than snow. A huge part of me is still a kid. I love to play and like snow better than that heavy carpet to fall into- tho i do love spinning, i'm with you Kad. even though i get uncontrollable giggles.

I used to throw a solstice party every year for all the kids in the neighborhood....we had fun...we played twister!

What a phrase. It's been something having this event mixed with birthdays, New Suns and Moons, and everything else

Snow is celestial, even though it causes problems for humans. But that's the human aggregation that's at fault.

Still we can love it. Every flake intricate and unique. Who designs these things anyway? It's only guilt that prevents people from rejoicing. So many chances to do this. Life provides. Hopes that we appreciate.
