My yoga class last night was brutal! Non-stop for an hour and a half, no rests. It felt appropriate.

Yoga is brutal anyway!

Couldn't get more truthful than that.

I'm wacked out, myself.

Speaking of archetypes.... Popeye. Does everybody in the world know him? Have American movie and cartoon characters become global icons more than other contry's creations?

Popeye is pretty lovable, devoted to Olive Oyl as he is and so very protective, only using his brute force when necessary. Gentle all the other times. And Wimpy? Interesting.

Olive was born in 1919. She started it.
The first strip consisted of the characters Olive Oyl, Ham Gravy (Olive's first boyfriend), Cole and Nana Oyl (Olive's parents), and Castor Oyl.1 ...

Very interesting, for you astrologers.

Popeye was born Jan. 17, 1929. Olive was born in 1919 when Uranus was in Aquarius, the passage from Uranus in Pisces to Aries was when Popeye came in and the popularity rose during Uranus in Aries. Neptune just in Virgo. Saturn in Sagittarius. Popeye has a Moon in Aries.

Some interesting facts present themelves. Popeye had several disabilities:

One bad eye.Popeye is generally depicted as having only one blue eye, his left. He he claims the other was lost in "the mos' arful battle" of his life.

Speech impediment.

Popeye's father is the degenerate Poopdeck Pappy, who does not share his son's moral righteousness and is represented as having abandoned Popeye in some sources.

Popeye is a "middle-aged" independent sailor:-)

This is a good description of Pisces to Aries and Olive's Aquarian detachment toward his devotion. The disabilities and underdog nature of Pisces surmounted becoming mythological strength in Aries. He's not like Zorro, that's for sure. The fact that he's a sailor, of course, well traveled with Saturn in Sag.

Also the Pluto in Cancer with the Pisces and his adoption of the baby, Swee'Pea. Popeye the rescuer. Pisces-Aries. Mars-Neptune for those of us who have that. An odd mixture of gentleness and brute strength. The nuturing of the baby is particularly odd.

He was and still is very popular. I wonder what it is in the psyche that's revealed.

A little more.
Speech impediment: Mars retrograde in Gemini opposite Saturn

Moral righteousness: Saturn in Sag

Devotion to pesky Olive Oyl: Venus in Pisces

Also intersting. Born right before the Depression and was popular throughout. NN in Taurus.

This is fascinating. The crash with the NN in Taurus. Never noticed this, and I have plenty to say on it.

"Popeye has a Moon in Aries."

Yes, the Moon was at the degree it transits today. In 1929, the Moon was conjunct Uranus in Aries.

It's amazing. I couldn't decide what to post today and then it clicked. When these things connect I feel good about life. The rhythm again. Later I thought about the iron in spinach connected to Aries, but the moon? That's quite a gift.

So no wonder you admire your sister's strength and skill.:-)

There are so many factors involved in the transition from Uranus into Aries coming up. I've only just begun, and repeats will probably be required of the main points.

Popeye embodies a lot of it with Capricorn, Cancer, and the Aries Moon. NN in Taurus. He lived pretty humbly didn't he? I wonder who would be considered the most poular cartoon character of all time.

Well, she certainly fits the birth date. :-) The 17th of the month inclines to independence, self-confidence, and capability. Material satisfaction with a practical but original twist. Managerial ability is indicated.

I love the fact that Popeye was middle-aged and independent, and a great hero. Very Capricornian, is it not?

I still say to you boomers, "get your teeth fixed, your bodies trimmed, and get ready to rock!"

Bugs? Not Mickey Mouse?

Bugs is wily, quick, and clever. Maybe Gemini traits in keeping with the USA Mars in Gemini.

Bugs? Mickey?

The United States has Neptune close to the MC square Mars, and hates going to war. Not the brute force image. A bunny? That's one of the problems with this current trap, all to be revealed as Uranus gets to 29 Pisces and onto Aries.

As I've said before. The USA Mars in Gemini is more internal conflict. Brother against brother. Family squabbles. I don't think we relate well to murdering foreigners.

"A bunny?"

A bunny, supposedly born 7/27/1940, with Moon in Aries, Venus in Gemini, and Sun, Pluto, and Mars in Leo. Jupiter and Saturn closely conjunct in Taurus.

Hmm, Mickey debuted on November 18, 1928 so, on that basis, he could be a Scorpio.

Interestingly, he was the replacement for a rabbit named Oswald, according to the story.

The thirties was Mickey Mouse's golden age

What a culturally rich time for this country. The sense of fun was laced into all of it, connected to the despair of the Depression. The exhuberance in the arts has never been matched since, but cyclically it will come around again. I'm going to study this in terms of the NN in Taurus, the SN in our 2nd, and the Pluto return coming.

So revealing that our icons are a mouse and a bunny. There was Mighty Mouse and others with the power written in their names, but "Bugs"?

Prepare the poopdeck.

The '30s had Uranus in Aries and Taurus with Pluto in Cancer. This time Pluto is in Capricorn and I keep thinking about this. There was major innovation with Uranus in Aries. The fine arts world was turned upside down and the USA had major worldwide influence. The emotional appeal was clear with the movie industry, music, etc. Now with Capricorn, I am very curious to see what emerges. I wonder if that's why I've been consciously toning down the emotional aspects, sentimentality, of my work. An interesting development. Emotion is a highly manipulative tool used for political control. We shall see.

It was A who started it last eclipse full moon. His comment that Popeye was a great gift from his depression era grandparents..."I am what I yam. And that's all that I yam"
Plain and simple.
Surprising how much was written into those cartoons that reflected the era and the hope for the future.

A and i were talking earlier about the new-found "pride" among his peers for America. Something new he is sensing, still a bit of a whisper, not protectionist, nor isolationist but a new determination, let's roll up our sleeves and make this country great again. Made in America.

There does seem to be an anticipation for the next and it does seem to be linked to the individual participating.

Hadn't thought of that. Perfect.

A and i were talking earlier about the new-found "pride" among his peers for America.

It's true. The kids are coming to me now with this information and I have a lot to report. Especially the Neptune-Uranus in Capricorn ones. Neptune in sag we already know about, but thes Cap ones are in school now and are they ever aware. They do definitely express hope for the country.

When Uranus in Aries squares the Pluto in Cap we will come together with the kids. Conflicts too, but the "new" will be the story of the day. People have no idea what's up with them. They are politically engaged too, and not in an overly idealistic way.

Gotta run out for a second but I'll be back with more on this emerging hope related to the fall of the Towers and Pluto across the USA ASC. I'm going to journey into the minds of these kids more and more to see what they have to teach me. One of them last night started talking about the astronomy class she's in and how they went out to study the Aries FM. She then went on to tell me that she is learning astrology. No problem putting the two together.

This has been an excellent lunation and I'll go into it more. The cleaning up of Virgo with the Aries FM brought some clarity and surgical cutting that was necessary for healing. Things just happened politically that people aren't aware of yet. Not that they ever will be, though. But important, nonetheless.

As far as hope goes, that really comes under the auspices of Aries, since aries is all potential. The vast universe looms in front of the Aries holding nothing but possibility. She is the explorer that has no preconceived ideas about what she will experience and thus in its pure state, the absence of fear. She uses fear as she encounters dangers in her path. So if there is anything akin to innocence, it's in the Aries.

There has been a rekindling of this in general and for those of us who follow what's really happening, what's between the lines, advances have been made.

Faith in a protective entity is religion and Sagittarius, and the trine to Jupiter was involved in this lunation, bringing a lift in spirits and hope for some.

It just so happens that Jupiter just crossed the USA ASC for the last time, where Pluto and Saturn were when the Towers came down. I think you can see and feel the connection, as the beautiful Aries Moon joined with and gave us energy to push on with enthusiasm.

There will be high spirited times just ahead before Jupiter leaves for Capricorn on Dec 19. make hay, I say.
