The South Node

As I was saying ....
The South Node is often not a happy place, especially when Saturn is there, illustrated quite dramatically this previous week when Saturn was conjunct the south in Virgo. There's not a lot to be afraid of at the south node, anymore than anyplace else. It's infrequently disastrous, and directional signals are always available. Disappointment is a characteristic but it can lead to better things when approached consciously. If you watch it closely in your own life you'll see what I mean. This week's conjunction occurred in everyone's chart so a look at it now can be informative.
The meeting came at 5 degrees Virgo. San Diego has a Moon at 7, and now it's clear that the federal government of the United States is broken, and that a battle between the states and central control is brewing. Repairs were stalled for the last 1 and 1/2 years while the south node was in Virgo, but now when the node leaves, Saturn stays there for more than two years, and a fix can proceed. It's a great time to fix things in people's personal lives too. The conjunction revealed the reality of the breakdown in an almost paralytic fashion.
Naturally, the south node isn't like the River Styx, but it is problematic and as I said, not particularly happy. The conjunction surely clarified the situation. Time to get into the tool box.

Now THAT's a toolbox!
Beautiful.

Correct assessment, time to roll up the sleeves. I think in some ways the South node is our toolbox. Inside has what we already know. We just have to pick the right tool for the job. Fear is not the right tool.

Personal responsibility, building good foundations, lasting infrastructure rather than the gaudy, flashy and temporary are sorting out to the top of the list.

Smoke drove me out of bed early. It is eerie in the moonlight, disorienting, somewhat like a snowstorm. Sight distances are short and there is a cocoon-like feel not pleasant tho as the lungs struggle to breathe.

Indeed. Help is pouring in from all sides as people are realizing that the feds are inept, divided and focusing on the wrong things. To wit, Bush is out there doing photo ops and therefore copters and planes were grounded, leaving the fire to burn on. Sheer idiocy. Whatever support he has enjoyed among conservatives is going up in smoke like everything else.

It's going to be very interesting and all part of the Uranian rebellion.

Help is pouring in from all sides as people are realizing that the feds are inept, divided and focusing on the wrong things.

This will penetrate the psyche. The comfort they are getting from knowing care is around is phenomenal. Back to what I said about people taking care of their own.

But the most interesting part to me is how the states will most likely be with the people in all of this, which is why I've been saying that being on our own will eventually turn out well.

One of the most important functions is disaster preparedness and now the country realizes the predicament. The states can do a lot on their own as they are soon to find out, but the National Guard is needed at home, back to this Mars in Cancer and Homeland Security. The Mars retro progression will sort it out in time.

And the ultimate fascination to me is how the rich Republicans are starting to feel betrayed and the idea of complete privatization is not a good idea after all. Karma came back rather quickly.
On the same hand, demanding as little as possible from the federal government is best.

This has been a major awakening connected to the Jupiter-Uranus square and all the Uranus ahead. What I am thrilled about is the fact that this came without death, for a change. Mostly property damage. But maybe that's worse than death in this country!

And it's always best not to be too romantic about the SN. It's absolutely true it's what we already know, used when necessary. It's primarily a flagman pointing out direction away from trouble spots, largely.

In terms of previous knowledge surfacing, here's an interesting tidbit. New Orleans has Pluto at 8 Pisces where the NN just passed, Saturn coming to exact opposition. Katrina had Uranus at exactly 8 Pisces. The Sun and Moon conjunct in early Virgo.

The coming Uranus in Pisces, Saturn in Virgo opposition looks more interesting all the time.

Have to add this.

The White House scolded the Federal Emergency Management Agency on Friday for staging a phony news conference about assistance to victims of wildfires in southern California.

"Stunts such as this will not be tolerated or repeated."

Now there's Pisces deception for you with the Saturn exposee. Happened fast. Times are changing. Things sort themselves with or without us. Age of Deception morphs into the Age of Awareness. Now what shocks are in store? Good ol' Uranus.

It's really quite fascinating. Pluto had just just turned direct when Katrina flooded our consciousness. Pisces. Pluto in Pisces in the NO natal chart with Uranus conjunct. That already was the start of the awakening. Added to the tsunami and the collective flooding.

Perhaps many collective Piscean sorrows got drowned that week in preparation for socio-political awakening. Pluto is days away from leaving the GC. Fitting end to the NN in Pisces.

Another fascinating fact for all you astrobuffs is the last Saturn-SN conjunction 11 years ago. It was at 1 Aries, where all the Jupiter-Uranus is about to take place. Uranus in Aries does promise to be lively.

Speakin o toolboxes, work on the bridge to replace the collapsed I-35W bridge in Minneapolis is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Nov. 1. Maybe an appropriate start time can be noted.
Neptune stationary and Mercury hovering just before turning direct. Good timing or not?

I had a good feeling about the outcome the instant the bridge collapsed.

Pluto will be just out of the GC and with all the Scorpio, rebuilding looks good. Very interesting actually. Mercury, ruling transportation and the station. Mars almost to the USA Sun turning retro, and most of all, Jupiter. Jup will be at 19 Sag, where Pluto was when the Iraq invasion took place. We're on our way. On the new bridge.

Minneapolis has Sun at 9 Pisces, mercury at 0. The NN will be at the midpoint. Saturn in Capricorn opposite Jupiter and Uranus in Cancer. Infrastructure. Also Moon at 0 Scorpio which is interesting in terms of destruction and re-creation. Early karmic lessons with plenty of new energy.

Another interesting factor is Minn's SN at 17 Sag, where Jupiter is now. Old bridges, new bridges.
