Speaking to America
Revolt everywhere. Or is it just debate?
Hold with focus on economy: 36%
Postpone: 10%
This is a great moment for astrology lovers. Mercury goes retrograde in Libra, the sign of debate, and it couldn't get more precise -- is it on or off? Debating the debate. The people want on.
One thing to keep in mind is Jupiter trine Saturn grounding the madness and highlighting the cool, calm, reasonable, pragmatic, fine and mellow choice of leadership, something getting more desirable by the minute. Just our Jupiterian luck with Pluto in Sagittarius spinning the roulette wheel. 11s for me, my winning number. Got me a set of steak knives once. Is America listening? It appears that way. I can't decide.
The first debate between John McCain and Barack Obama is scheduled to take place in two days. Should the debate be held as scheduled? Should the debate be held, but the format changed to focus on the economy? Or, should the debate be postponed?
Hold as scheduled: 50%
Hold with focus on economy: 36%

Here's what's happening. Mercury is going backward at 22 Libra conjunct Mars at 23 trine Neptune, god of chaos, at 21 Aquarius. The beautiful thing is the grand air trine it forms with Mars at 21 Gemini in the US chart. Magnificent. The confusion has thrown the solution itself into chaos masking the original financial crisis. Or is it a crisis? No one can decide anything.
So Congress is an uproar and retro Mercury oddly influenced one candidate's request to cancel the big Friday presidential debate. Merc retro is quincunx Uranus at 20 Pisces exactly on his Saturn. The public yells, "No!!" The Saturn-Uranus opposition gains momentum with one revolt after another. It will be interesting to see who wins the debate issue.
The disintegration of John McCain is nearing completion as Uranus on his Saturn finishes next Tuesday. The shift in the halls of power is ratcheting up to gargantuan proportions. Who's in charge?

I was just going to mention how prescient you were (again) about how McPain's painful "cam-pain" would devolve into chaos (at least I believe it was here that I read this prediction). Over at crooksandliars.com, we can see how fast the wheels are coming off the Straight Talk Express, one after the other. Little Mooselini has bombed interview after interview, alienated the press by banning them from her appearances, made some small talk with heads of state on camera... and precious little else besides sit and look pretty.
Where's the popcorn?
HA HA HA!!!!
cam-pain
That's great joe!!!
Yes! It was right here!!
Oh how I've been waiting for popcorn time. The kernels were put in place in Iowa getting hotter and hotter. Dry air, not OIL!!
It's easy to predict the general lay of the land if you look at the big picture in the charts. That's why I don't pour over them and pick away at details. Its a gestalt thingy and I spring from the chart quickly to avoid getting bogged down and losing the tapestry.
I think it applies to my prediction that some good times "might" be ahead in the governmental transformation. People are still predicting extreme gloom with Pluto in Capricorn but I can never be that certain of anything.
I also predicted that there would be a lot of joy in this campaign season and you ain't seen nothin' yet.
The ridiculous Mooselini pick was the biggest tip-off to me that the world intends to get Obama in the seat of administrative power. Everything is "conspiring" to achieve that. The cosmic boost is needed to get the people over the paralyzing fear and racial division.
Survival dictates and Pluto is famous for that. We have two wars and a failed economy and we simply can't fool around.
Astrology doesn't dictate. It provides a map and sort of sleletal matrix around which will and circumstance dance. It truly is joyous in many ways.
Little Mooselini has bombed interview after interview, alienated the press by banning them from her appearances, made some small talk with heads of state on camera... and precious little else besides sit and look pretty.
I don't think she looks pretty really. Remember the greasy hair I mentioned? She looks badly groomed and dirty to me. If she really meant business she would change her hairstyle immediately to a professional one. I went to HS with girls like that and I know them all too well. And her voice is the real clue.
It's beyond absurd that this happened, but Uranus loves to mess with our perceptions.
Barack: The Gold Mine.
Or should I say - the Mother Lode?
This move to scuttle the debates is a pure desperation move by McCain's handlers. McCain does not understand the economy, and this crisis is way beyond him. They know if he has to answer questions on it in a debate with Obama that he's utterly finished. I really think canceling the debate is the only hope he has at maintaining the subterfuge.

"I don't think she looks pretty really."
Perhaps the bloom of youth is passing. I suppose it's in the eye of the beholder. Quick, what words can one spell using all the letters of her last name? Well, perhaps she is not that, either. ;-)
Funnily enough, one of my clients complained last week about all the Palin spam she's gotten in her e-mail, plus everyone telling her that she looks like Palin.
Still, at the moment, I'm mildly taken aback by reading one astrologer's conclusion that Palin would become Vice President of the U.S. based on Neptune transiting her natal Sun on Election Day. Even if he feels that Palin is attractive and successful, and thinks that destiny is calling her to face Putin.
I think astrology has evolved to be psychologically revealing, but contemporary astrologers have often gone wrong when their predictions disagree with predictive models that have good track records for material events. Particularly with a close election, astrologers have a close to even chance of getting it right by chance alone. Whether they get it right for the right reasons is something else again, not to mention whether they reveal anything truly insightful.
"This move to scuttle the debates is a pure desperation move by McCain's handlers."
Yes, it does come across as backing down from the confrontation, and I hope voters see that!
McCain is out of it. He's trying to create a 9-11 type crisis and going overboard with his Mars in Leo drama. The problem is -- his Mars conjuncts Obama's Sun, exaggerating No Drama Obama's leadership.
The important thing is the public isn't falling for it. It takes a lot to do that. And Obama's leadership has to be seen in reality, the alternate to this insanity.
"And her voice is the real clue."
I'm intrigued by the connection between voice and consciousness.
My voice got somewhat more flexible recently for unknown reasons. Almost like I sloughed something off. ;-p
Quick, what words can one spell using all the letters of her last name? Well, perhaps she is not that, either. ;-)
Heheh. Yup.
Still, at the moment, I'm mildly taken aback by reading one astrologer's conclusion that Palin would become Vice President of the U.S. based on Neptune transiting her natal Sun on Election Day.
As good as anything.:-)
Particularly with a close election, astrologers have a close to even chance of getting it right by chance alone.
That's what is so interesting. They usually defy these odds and get it 90% wrong. They all said Hillary would be he next prez.
Yes, it does come across as backing down from the confrontation, and I hope voters see that!
Look at the poll in the entry.
"The problem is -- his Mars conjuncts Obama's Sun, exaggerating No Drama Obama's leadership."
Hmm, that's interesting.
Many people think that McCain is strong on foreign policy, but they actually prefer Obama's policies on international relations when pressed to weigh specifics.
"Look at the poll in the entry."
Yes, I think it implies that many people are eager to hear what the candidates say.
My voice got somewhat more flexible recently for unknown reasons. Almost like I sloughed something off.
Really???
Omg. Voice and consciousness. The voice is connected to freedom or restriction of the whole air column, largely centered around the flexibility and strength of the diaphragm. Related to the umbilical and solar plexus.
Fear of speaking up for one's needs and desires is often the cause of tight voices. Fear raises the pitch. Fear of sexuality is a large part of the tightness and high pitch.
You see that in American culture where sexuality is highly feared and women take their clothes off and shake their rear ends then open their mouths to reveal fear of sexuality. Like Betty Boop. The childish begging quality reveals the inability to demand satisfaction for the self.
Many other things involved. Any guesses?
Also. Fear of being authoritative and losing the female gamesmanship to get what she needs. Overpowered in other words. Weak.
Many people think that McCain is strong on foreign policy, but they actually prefer Obama's policies on international relations when pressed to weigh specifics.
Yes. It's actually Obama's area of expertise. No wonder McCain wants out. The only thing left that McCain had was leadership confidence. According to the latest polls, that's gone to Obama now. The illusion of McCain as hero is desintegrating with the Uranus transit.
No matter what the soothsayers say, Palin cannot lead the country. She might even be taken off the ticket. McCain can't lead either. He has increasing cognitive breakdown. The others who have cognitive troubles are the people who vote blindly.
That is the point of the Saturn in Virgo opposite Uranus in deluded Pisces. Saturn trine Moon-Joop in Capricorn Nov 4th. So reality breaks through for a moment ensuring survival. Then onward to Pluto in Cap and reality for awhile.
But this is beyond astro prediction. Pluto at 29 is a crisis point. It's a crossing and a change. There is nothing wrong with predicting an Obama win based on political reality and the idea that Obama must win the election is wise. It's in the body politic and if my brother signed up for the campaign today, I know it's real!
The confidence in his victory is necessary to fuel the massive voter turnout required to ensure his victory above theft through voter suppression and to get him the mandate to move this country forward.
It's beyond the guessing game stage. It's on the ground and in motion. Anything anyone does to contribute to his win is important.
Correction: disintegrating.
Exactly. Hence the truth of this captioned photo of the McPain bus:
Goodbye, John!
"Really???"
Yes. Well, I will not be performing vocally for the public any time soon, but at least I can please myself (vocally) in the shower again. :-) It is slightly unsteady at present, slightly deeper and fuller than before, so I will have to get used to the new parameters and see where it settles down. Some of it might be due to aging. I had gone through a period where my voice seemed thick, possibly complicated by allergy or some kind of chronic irritation. The air conditioning makes me cough, I've noticed, so I might be more sensitive. For a bit, I thought I might have to accept being unable to sing with any clarity.
"Omg. Voice and consciousness. The voice is connected to freedom or restriction of the whole air column, largely centered around the flexibility and strength of the diaphragm. Related to the umbilical and solar plexus."
Well, numerologically, it is a "One" or solar year for me. 2008 = 2+0+0+8 = 10 = 1+0 = 1. The numerological formula is to add up the digits of the birthday plus the current year but, as a shortcut, I can usually add up the digits of the calendar year alone and get the same result.
I am certainly being asked to work twice as hard as previous years. Eventually, I might end up with assistants or in a leadership position if I take on a permanent position at one of my clients. I've been offered work before but the time had not seemed right.
"Fear of speaking up for one's needs and desires is often the cause of tight voices. Fear raises the pitch. Fear of sexuality is a large part of the tightness and high pitch."
Well, I don't know if it's fear. Although, I did have to face down my building management but that was much earlier in the year. It was time for lease renewal, and they were trying to scare me out of the building with B.S. letters from their lawyer. ;-)
"You see that in American culture where sexuality is highly feared and women take their clothes off and shake their rear ends then open their mouths to reveal fear of sexuality. Like Betty Boop. The childish begging quality reveals the inability to demand satisfaction for the self."
I think that has been changing a lot. The more egalitarian younger generation isn't so afraid of public frankness and, perhaps being less repressed and pressured, are actually less hasty with sexuality.
Perfect joe.
Fuel for further entries. We are at a bridge which is why the "bridge to nowhere" resonated so strongly. Every route leads to nowhere with both of them under the influence of Neptune. But nowhere is exactly right for them. However, we have two real wars, 200 million actual citizens, and a possible depression. Get real.
"That is the point of the Saturn in Virgo opposite Uranus in deluded Pisces. Saturn trine Moon-Joop in Capricorn Nov 4th. So reality breaks through for a moment ensuring survival. Then onward to Pluto in Cap and reality for awhile."
Sounds like a good thing to me. :-)
Some of it might be due to aging
The voice changes constantly. I avoid air conditioning completely at home.
A deep full and resonant voice speaks of confidence. Self-love.
Reality? Good? I'm just in the mood with my newfound Saturn.
Here's reality.
The country needs an Obama administation so it's time to grow up, not ask anybody if it's all right, and just do it. It's not that hard. Unified effort helps.
Yes. And, historically, voters en masse usually do pick the candidates that they believe can best address the issues uppermost on their minds. So the proper clue there is to look at the issues most concerning to them, and then see which candidate they believe fulfills the requirements.
None of this Neptunean stuff about Palin match-ups with world leaders.
George Bush called on Obama today and he's meeting with him in DC tomorrow. I don't know what it takes for people to understand.
It's also time to stop cowering in fear of the Republicans waiting to react to their next terror strike. Enough!!! It's not a game anymore. It' time to act.
None of this Neptunean stuff about Palin match-ups with world leaders.
Amen, kad. Spoken like a leader. Or a realist.
historically, voters en masse usually do pick the candidates that they believe can best address the issues uppermost on their minds. So the proper clue there is to look at the issues most concerning to them, and then see which candidate they believe fulfills the requirements.
We happen to have an economic problem. McCain has said himself he knows nothing about the economy. As I said, it's not a game.
I mentioned just recently that I'm not discussing astrological predictions about the winner of this election and I meant it. That's not to say others shouldn't do it. We cannot have McCain as president.
I will discuss astro analysis of events as they unfold.
"I will discuss astro analysis of events as they unfold."
And that's the real goodies right there.
The illusion of McCain as hero is desintegrating with the Uranus transit.
Toss the Wrath of David Letterman into that blender and set on "puree."
http://campaignsilo.firedoglake.com/2008/09/24/leaked-video-mccain-blows-off-letterman-for-katie-couric/
McCain was supposed to be on Letterman tonight, cancelled an hour ahead of showtime, saying he had to fly to Washington to "deal with the financial crisis." Then Letterman finds out McCain was still in New York, being interviewed by Katie Couric.
OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH!!
They're gonna be so sorry they did that!!
Yeppers. I like Letterman's sharp take on McCain suspending his campaign. I was trying to quote him before, but I don't think it went through.
McCain's campaign manager suggested that Sarah Palin may also suspend campaigning. Hmmm. Can't have one without the other.
Cartoon humor
Can't count houses, admits he doesn't know much about the economy. So who in their right mind would ask him to rush back to Washington for this.
See Talking Points Memo --
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/219410.php
--where a source sez, the Democratic rewrite of the plan was 98% done, Treasury had agreed to everything, when McCain suspended -- nobody really needed him in DC.
And Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid said publicly that McCain should stay on the trail.
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/219388.php
"McCain does not understand the economy, and this crisis is way beyond him. They know if he has to answer questions on it in a debate with Obama that he's utterly finished." m.p.k.
Oh yes, it would be obvious seeing them together on stage that McCain's not in the same league with Barack. McCain is simply unqualified for the job.
"People are still predicting extreme gloom with Pluto in Capricorn but I can never be that certain of anything."
For me, it's not only Pluto in Capricorn that gives me pause. It's the t-square with Uranus/Saturn, the same configuration that occurred in the Great Depression. The collapse of structures which is indicative of Uranus Saturn is underway in the U.S. economy. By the way, another area we've seen this is with infrastructure. The country needs a program like the WPA to restore infrastructure and put people to work in my opinion. But getting back to the t-square, Pluto in the mix indicates a depth and breadth of effects on a very large scale. So, although I agree we can't be certain these transits will play out in the same way, historically, they have. But, gloom? No. To think about these upcoming transits is sobering and awe inspiring because these are the heavyweights: Saturn, Pluto, and Uranus...in hard aspect.
I've seen this economic crisis coming for sometime. So I've been making efforts getting to know my neighbors, being on good terms with friends and family, paying off debt, and getting involved in community. I think holding together will be key to pull us through this thing.
"My voice got somewhat more flexible recently for unknown reasons. Almost like I sloughed something off."
kadimiros, did you say you have a Mercury Saturn conjunction? If so, any transits to the conjunction around the time of the change?
Toss the Wrath of David Letterman into that blender and set on "puree."
Will do!!
Uh-oh. Lies have a way of doing this sometimes.
The thing is out of control yesh. Creating panic. And you're telling me that the Republicans are supposed to decide everything. Like when we should go to the toilet? Our blood pressure? Spare me.
They need to suspend permanently.
Great cartoon! Good graphics.
Can't count houses, admits he doesn't know much about the economy. So who in their right mind would ask him to rush back to Washington for this.
He's trying to create chaos which is all he can do. Saturn in Pisces. Sometimes that works, but we have a full moon in Aries around the bend. Chaos? Good luck. Aries'll cream you if you get in he way.
He did it with the Georgian thing equating it with WWII and the stoopids fell for it. "Not this time."
Yeah. Reid told both of them to butt out. McCain stay on the trail? He has no idea where he is. And I hear Miss Mooselini's interview with Miss Katie was beyond ridiculous. pitiful.
I did have to face down my building management but that was much earlier in the year. It was time for lease renewal, and they were trying to scare me out of the building with B.S. letters from their lawyer. ;-)
That would scare me. Maybe even raise my normally relaxed voice to the more hysterical range.
The housing racket in NY is awful. My sis gets crap all the time. Along with mice.
"If so, any transits to the conjunction around the time of the change?"
Hmm, I forget what day it happened, although I think it was probably within the last two weeks or so. I'm bad at checking my own astrology, unless something figuratively hits me on the head. :-) Due to a number of conjunctions, my chart is coherent and, well, not too complicated. I'm usually more interested in looking at other people's.
Well, that natal conjunction is in the first two degrees of Aquarius. So the Libran transits (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) would have trined it in late August through very early September. That's a bit early -- changes relating to transits are usually remarkably precise for me (at least the ones that I've actually noticed) despite what others say about the looseness of timing. But maybe that has something to do with it. Then the Moon swept on to conjoin on the 11th, which is probably still early, etc.
There are other transits going on in the background. Pluto has been passing over my MC the last couple of years. Jupiter is in applying conjunction to my natal Sun-Mars-Venus in Capricorn. Uranus passed over the Ascendant degree in the Spring. Saturn passed over natal Uranus and Pluto in the past year.
The grand arc seems to suggest some kind of coming together of long trends. It does imply a break of some kind with the past. More responsibility coupled with freedom to pursue broader goals in future.
Oh, yes, almost forgot. Neptune is leaving the Moon's South Node behind, having already passed the Moon and Jupiter a little bit before that. And the transit North Node is on my natal South Node. Could mean something!?!
"I think holding together will be key to pull us through this thing."
I feel confident that we will get through, one way or another.
Well here's one thing I'd say.
Pluto in the 10th is a big force getting one out of the past often symbolized by the home. So the "authorities" who threatened you about your lease were actually motivating you to symbolically get out of the house and assume more responsibility.
Usually the plethora of transits combine in a major theme or two. NN in the 6th is important in terms of ego expression and work. Great opportunity. The beauty to watch is Pluto coming to trine your Uranus in the 6th. I'd milk the honey out of that one.
transits are usually remarkably precise for me (at least the ones that I've actually noticed) despite what others say about the looseness of timing.
This is associated with Uranus. I have exact events all the time with transits in keeping with the Uranian type.
Here's how to do it from the gestalt perspective.
Pluto in Capricorn means that Capricorn and Scorpio types and people with strong Saturn/Pluto placements (ie:me) - Saturn in Scorpio, Saturn/Pluto aspects, Pluto in the 10th, etc. - will be called to the fore. So you have all the Cap with your asc. ruler in Scorpio, plus Pluto in the 10th now. So you might as well get with it. It's called influence.
To top it all off, Saturn will be in Scorpio in a few years forming a mutual reception with Pluto in Cap. That's what I'd prepare for.
The good and the bad happen together. Even in big events like WWII most of the world wasn't directly involved and within the violence, people thrived. We were lucky in the US not to be in the direct line of fire growing our Victory Gardens and coming together as we always do in crisis. You're right, helena, we can count on that.
But in the next years there is likely to be a green bubble and a lot of economic growth in innovative industries. So some will decline, some will rise.
Disaster is very selective. When the island of Minoa off the mainland of Greece went down one night in one of the bigegst earthquakes in history, bringing the end of a civilization, the neighboring ones were untouched. Anything is possible but that means it can be total disaster, or partial disaster, or mild disaster with all the good spots in and around.
I believe in Don Juan's credo from Carlos Castaneda. Journey to Ixtlan says it well. There's always a safe spot and the wise seeker feels it out, if s/he wants that. Sometimes going into the turbulence is what we desire. Everybody's suffering is subjective and unique.
"Reid told both of them to butt out."
Good man!
"And I hear Miss Mooselini's interview with Miss Katie was beyond ridiculous. pitiful."
That does sound sad. One can only suppose that pitbulls just don't do close-up interviews well. More lipstick just makes it sadder.
"That would scare me. Maybe even raise my normally relaxed voice to the more hysterical range."
Well, it was definitely annoying when I had other work to do. :-) They stated they would take me to court rather than give me a new lease. I looked up every last legal statute they cited. It was all about time frames in which certain types of notifications must be made. Nothing of substance. Basically, the building manager was conspiring with the lawyer to evict tenants, by intimidation if by nothing else.
"The housing racket in NY is awful. My sis gets crap all the time. Along with mice."
The management overstates the case for rent increases, and lies to the city about improvements made to the building. One year, they had the old set of mailboxes ripped out of the wall. The "new" replacement model looked exactly like the old one, and was installed in the same place. I think enough people complained so they didn't get away with that. One time, I spent all night measuring the apartment and drawing a detailed floorplan to contest the number and size of rooms reported to the city.
The actual owner lives in another state. He inherited everything from his father, so I'm not sure he knows how the business is being run.
Oh, I could go on and on. :-) It's better now but the building was a step away from dereliction when I first moved in. People used to joke that someone would get killed on the stairs, the risers moved so much when stepped on.
One of my aunts said about rent increases, "Landlords have to make a living, too." I said, "Listen, if they can't make it without lying and cheating and trying to break into my apartment to find evidence against me, they can look for a new line of work just like other people."
"This is associated with Uranus. I have exact events all the time with transits in keeping with the Uranian type."
Really? Well, that would explain it.
"So you have all the Cap with your asc. ruler in Scorpio, plus Pluto in the 10th now. So you might as well get with it. It's called influence."
It does make sense. It's just a logical culmination of what I've been doing, only now it'll be more openly acknowledged. Some of my clients have always been rather dependent on me, but we play this game.
"The beauty to watch is Pluto coming to trine your Uranus in the 6th. I'd milk the honey out of that one."
Hmm, that does look to be exciting. Thanks!
"To top it all off, Saturn will be in Scorpio in a few years forming a mutual reception with Pluto in Cap. That's what I'd prepare for."
Aha. Saturn conjunct Neptune should a very interesting one.
Pit bulls are sad dogs in my opinion. So aggressive and so trapped. She has Pluto coming to her Venus in Aries which is a clamp on her ineffective hostility and ideally an emergence of genuine strength and assertiveness. Thankfully, I'll be unaware of it.
One time, I spent all night measuring the apartment and drawing a detailed floorplan to contest the number and size of rooms reported to the city.
HA HA HA! You are amazing! What a guy!!
One of my aunts said about rent increases, "Landlords have to make a living, too." I said, "Listen, if they can't make it without lying and cheating and trying to break into my apartment to find evidence against me, they can look for a new line of work just like other people."
Exactly my words to my present government!! Get another job!
Enough!!!
It does make sense. It's just a logical culmination of what I've been doing, only now it'll be more openly acknowledged.
Yes. As it should be. Capricorn and NN in Leo. You deserve it.
Some of my clients have always been rather dependent on me, but we play this game.
No problem. Dependency is fine unless it gets out of hand. People need it and thrive within it.
I love Neptune. I could go on forever about Saturn conjunct Neptune and the grounding of fantasy into artistic and practical dream/reality.
Neptune rules your asc and Saturn rules your Cap sun so it's a good board meeting.
People are wired for the negative so they forget about the glorious trines. That's how we survive the challenges and get the most benefit. It's amazing how people can't seem to connect with them. All hard aspects have trines coming off them sometimes, as on election day.
"I can't quite decide if steve schmidt looks more like lex luthor or a conehead." lol

Well...it had to be done. Fair is fair!
A lot of people either just buckled under, or never checked the paperwork.
If we get charged more for the new "sun deck" in the back yard, I may have to point out how it's completely shaded by trees and tall buildings, overrun by mice and assorted crawlies, half of it is taken up by a bicycles rack bolted to the deck floor, and the other half is being used to hold bins for recyclables, nevermind the other garbage bins surrounding the deck like a front hedge only a few feet away. I should take photographs.
HA HA HA!!!
Uhggg as in uhhggggily!!!
I don't normally look at Rethugs so I'd never seen him! Thanks for updating me.
HA HA HA HA HA!!!

I have to repeat this. I knew you were a good writer!
Yes, by all means, photographs.
What are we going to do when this cast of characters pulls out? The good, bad, beautiful, and ugly. We need every frikking one of them!
If we get charged more for the new "sun deck" in the back yard
Paradise is expensive.
"Aha. Saturn conjunct Neptune should a very interesting one."
"Saturn refines things to their absolute worth and dispenses with false credentials," wrote Douglas Baker.
Saturn as David Letterman pretty much exposed John McCain's "false credentials" as a hero. The media is doing a pretty good job as well. So, I think the fraud McCain is not having much fun with this transit.
Useful I would think for an artist, for grounding a vision, or a meditator, or someone involved in a sustained and focused spiritual practice. Enncounters with the spirit world? Psychedelics? maybe not so much.
"I love Neptune. I could go on forever about Saturn conjunct Neptune and the grounding of fantasy into artistic and practical dream/reality."
Well, Neptune conjoined to natal Saturn, Uranus to Moon-Jupiter, and North Node to North Node when I left my last job and started working on my own in my new Web-related career. That was ten years ago. So I learned to be on my own workwise. It was a bit tough after 9/11 took a bite out of the business world here.
"Neptune rules your asc and Saturn rules your Cap sun so it's a good board meeting."
And people used to look askance at my mixed education in the arts and computing. Before the Web, back when the idea of computer graphics was still a novel idea to many people, one woman suggested that I needed to join her buddhist group because my interests suggested a confused life direction.
Yes yes.
Useful I would think for an artist, for grounding a vision, or a meditator, or someone involved in a sustained and focused spiritual practice.
Saturn in Pisces is a spiritual destiny. It's not even a question of fun for McCain he's so whacked out with Uranus there. He's in excatly the right spot for himself. Nothing to lose. Finally. You have to let go of reality to get to the Saturn-Neptune place, at least for a moment. Then re-define it.
I'm amazed at how well the media is doing. I think they are unleashing after being in lock-up for 8 years. They seem to be having a ball!
Saturn refines things to their absolute worth and dispenses with false credentials
Me likes.
I am absolutely stunned at the joy in the air in the face of this financial collapse. I thought I was the only one who did things like that. The absurdity of it all.
You gotta pay for everything. Freedom?

ROFL!!! And who exactly is confused???? I should hope I have a confused direction. That leaves possibility in charge!
What a perfect use of Saturn and Neptune.
Omg. Dating and sarah. Maybe Putin's available for a pizza!

The media grew a spine, who'd a thought. :-) Spines and bones are Saturnine.

Vision manifestation is my name.
Sustained is good; an artist's work is never done.
"Omg. Dating and sarah. Maybe Putin's available for a pizza!"
Can Sarah bring her gun on a first date?

"Alaskan pit-bull turns into yesterday's moose"
Republicans in Washington have a habit of becoming curiously deaf to the voice of the people. They have a hard time hearing what the ordinary people of the country are saying. But they have no trouble at all hearing what Wall Street is saying. They are able to catch the slightest whisper from big business and the special interests.

MY PAPER!!!!!!
Rocky Mt. News:
If Winston Churchill could leave London in December 1941 and travel to America to address a joint session of Congress even as British troops in the Far East were reeling under Japanese attacks, somehow we think John McCain can make his way down to Oxford, Miss., for a debate Friday evening without imperiling the future of America. In this case, Barack Obama is right.
Very good point.
Suspending campaigns and deferring debates. No doubt they'd like to defer Election Day, too. Busy, busy. :-)
Got that one right. I kinda thought you'd like the editorial.
"I am absolutely stunned at the joy in the air in the face of this financial collapse. I thought I was the only one who did things like that. The absurdity of it all."
You remind me of something I forgot. That on the other side of death is the phoenix rising from the ashes. Historically, financial collapse has brought about the end of empires. Being a "lone superpower" has been very costly for the U.S. as well as the rest of the world, in blood and treasure, in the peace and security of the world. I'm sick to death of war. I welcome a "multi polar" world and if collapse is what it takes to get us there, so be it.
I think there's a sense of relief mixed with everything else. Starting over is a good opportunity and I'm sure most Americans would rather feed their families than conquer the world.
With Mars going retro by progression I think there'll be a change and the pheonix rising makes sense with Pluto revolutionizing the US 1st house and identity.
US Saturn in Libra wants peace.
