Pluto, Sagittarius, Lies, Truth, and Foreign Policy

Pluto supplies the energy for the evolutionary process whereby outmoded or dysfunctional entities are transformed through death and rebirth into new ones higher on the evolutionary path.
Sagittarius is the lord of foreign lands. Pluto has reached a 4 month stop at 24 degrees Sagittarius. The USA foreign policy is in ruins.
Throughout history, tribes, city-states, and countries have invaded others in an attempt to expand their boundaries. Success has been short lived, as the diversity of man's civilizations has always triumphed. Destiny tells us that we have to maintain our distinctiveness in order to evolve. The whole process of evolution is thought to be based on mutation, and so far, the differences among us have been impossible to erase. We have no choice but to live side by side. Drawing the borders, creating and re-creating the map, is an endless endeavor.
The extreme policy of the current United States government was necessary to bring this long standing behavior in the world to an end. Demolition by Pluto was the only way. The US has a Sagittarius Ascendant and a destiny of foreign involvement to fulfill. This experience has been a step in this path to eventual enlightenment as the lies are being revealed by Pluto's stripping of pretense and exposure of the kernel of truth. We are momentarily powerless. No country can dominate the world. The collective power is far too great and will always be the determining factor.
America is incarnating into her Sagittarius identity. Pluto will make another extended stop at 26 degrees Sagittarius starting July 2007, right in the center of our Milky Way galaxy. The destruction will sink in, the knowledge of the need to rebuild will be clear. There will be one more station, in 2008, right before the new President is elected. It is in our best interest to select a person skilled, serious, responsible, and dedicated to the well being of the country to repair our world standing. A long process of dishonesty and ruthlessness has brought us here, and regeneration is well advised.
We can prepare and help the process unfold, by looking at our own lives through Pluto's lens, and seeing where the ruins of our own dishonesty have manifest. Where we can all, as individuals do something, however small, to recognize the reciprocity, understanding, and generosity required for all groups in the family of man to flourish.
This is the perfect time.

A thoughtful and thought provoking post jm, thanks.

In 1954 Seathl of the Salish gave a speech in acceptance of a treaty with the US government. He saw his peoples conquered.
excerpt:
"But why should be repine? Why should I murmur at the fate of my people? Tribes are made up of individuals and are no better than they. Men come and go like the waves of the sea. A tear, a tamanawus, a dirge, and they are gone from our longing eyes forever. Even the white man, whose God walked and talked with him, as friend to friend, is not exempt from the common destiny. We may be brothers after all. We shall see.

Here is a link to the full speech.

Pluto, Uranus and north node were all in Taurus in 1854. Does it strike you that Chief Seattle was of a Taurean nation? Growing up on a Salish reservation it certainly seems likely to me. A pattern of similarity and prophecy perhaps.

*tamanawus is word for "medicine", power, personal totem an archetypal entity.

tseka. Wonderful information.

Tribes are made up of individuals and are no better than they. Men come and go like the waves of the sea.

This is exactly what I'm getting at. Until we come home to the root of our troubles as a human race, we will continue to pass the responsibility off to our leaders. If we do this, then we can expect the result we're seeing right now. In this slight window to awareness, I feel an irresistible desire to speak up in defense of self knowledge. The wisdom of the ages accompanies the trial and tribulations. We have choices.

I think you are a vital part of this. With your recent Jupiter return in Scorpio and the passage upcoming of Jupiter across your Mars(very important) and Mercury, then your ascendant you are particularly in touch with this knowledge coming in. The Jup/Pluto mutual reception. This is why I think you led us to this point. Jupiter through Sagittarius will bring the reward for your effort. And it will be joining Pluto in sag for a big moment of learning. In your first house.

The Plutonian revelation is here for those of us who are willing to partake. And you are in the vanguard. Sag is higher learning, and Pluto wants the truth.

Urk!!! I'm not sure how I feel about that but suspect that undergoing the process will bring insights. At least that's how it usually works . . . :-) BTW, I can't believe how much more energetic I've felt w/Saturn moving on. This gives credence to Betty Lunsted's theory that transits have their greatest impact in the period 10 degrees before the exact aspect is made.

Now I have a little something from Steve Judd that fits in here best:

31 July/1August

I was going to write this tomorrow, but it’s 23.35 on Sunday night, stuck in a train between London and Bath, so when the time is right the time is right….. August suggests a culmination of affairs that began in ‘99, peaked briefly in September ‘01, and since then have increased exponentially. I’m suggesting that there’s a strong correlation between ‘99 and the present time, and that the current developments in the Middle East are the result of the same ethos that brought 9/11 about. I’ve been waiting for this since the total eclipse over SW Cornwall, and August is a time of karmic repayment the like of which we’ve not seen for many years, perhaps since 1989 (remember Glasnost? Perestroika? The Berlin wall?). After months and months of warming up, the Saturn/Neptune opposition is beginning to deliver. Best case scenario is a global revival of community spirit – after all, Saturn/Neptune aspects are common in the charts of socialist highs and lows. Worst case scenario is viral and toxic warfare/overload, whether engineered or synchronistic. Whilst these potentials are around until the end of next June, the critical time is now to the start of October. By then the world will be a very different place, we collectively will have moved into a metaphorical fifth gear, and we’ll be plateauing once again in readiness for the final challenges in a few years time (2010). The Full Moon on the 9th August is a symbolic ending point for old patterns of behaviour both personally and globally, and the future is unclear at this time. What is clear is that this is end game for a number of big players in the global power game, and that the decisions and actions that occur between now and the start of October will resonate for many years to come. 24 hours later....

This month is the crunch time for the whole of 2006, and quite possibly for a long time after that as well. There are three main factors during August. Initially, there is the Sun coming together with Saturn, bringing a degree of dissolution to a number of political processes and leaders’ ambitions. Political figures will tumble in the first two weeks of the month. This is alongside the Mars/Uranus opposition, both aspects in the first two weeks of August. Mars opposite Uranus is truly unpredictable, something volatile and dramatic, personal freedoms and independence at the top of the wish list. At the end of the month, Mars followed by the Sun squares Pluto, indicative of intrigue and elimination at the highest (or deepest) of levels. From end August through to mid September, the Saturn/Neptune/Jupiter t-square rules the roost, and I have grave misgivings about the financial structure and stability of commercial and economic affairs. Watch the bubbles burst. Then, and only then, by end September, it gets easier. Collective sanity may again prevail. Sorry to be so negative, but this is it. This is not a drill; this is what the escalation of the previous seven years has been for. Long term future patterns are being set now. Time to claim your right to a free voice.

jm - you are very right about Pluto in Sag wanting the truth. The unvarnished, bare bones, no fooling TRUTH. The tolerance for dishonesty both on a national & personal level is deeply dismaying. When I think on what so many of us that have gathered here have gone through, & are continuing to go through, to learn to simply be honest with ourselves . . . I wish I could bottle it & make everyone drink the essence of it. That oughta shut em up!! :-) To me one of the greatest challenges we face as humans is to learn to be truly honest w/ourselves first, then all others we come in contact with. It goes back to Pluto once more . . . that demand to face ourselves and say "yes, that's me, for better or worse"!

dang, another one of those triggers! and off she goes!! :-)

I've simply reached my limit. I can't tolerate the game anymore. Pictures of these fool puppets plastered everywhere with the question, "Are they doing a good job?" The ridiculous Secretary of State and the buffoon masquerading as President with the daily polls being the IMPORTANT THING. The total sham of it all. We live in real world, too.

They are nothing. A huge event going on now is the revolution of the Islamic world as they go through the excrutiating process of modernizing and coming out of their Long Dark Age. This is what we are witnessing and it is beyond anybody's control, as Pluto brings evolution to all of our religions that need it. Mohammedism is due, the religion vast and worldwide, with great great diversity within. The archaic leadership is going down. The world will have to be a spectator in this process, and soon it will learn. What the US is doing is secondary, and soon we will have to face our own problems. We are in way over our heads. And no journalistic nonsense spewed daily is going to explain it.

There is a massive force behind these events and no one is in control.

Yes, yes, yes, neith. And you with all your Scorp can heat that cauldron of truth and let it bubble. If it's not too hot, I'll even jump in!

jm - I suspect that intra-aspects between our jupiters & mercurys contributes to the synergy!

BTW, i refer to my mars/mercury conjunct as "bite first, ask questions later" . . . :-) The square between is more "slice & dice" . . . me thinks I'm getting a little rummy. :-)

Hiya Neith, thanks for dropping the Steve Judd thoughts in here. He's looking at the same patterns i have been "seeing" those rolling waves from 11 August 1999 eclipse. My astro is too undeveloped, to new to this science, but i do believe that these patterns describe a peak and culmination cycle around us now. Some of us are more within the pattern as components.

The "Brew of Disillusionment". The anti-dote for too much Kool-aide. Should be on every healers shelf. A little Pepto for the soul.

I like Steve Judd, Tseka. Especially like that public comment section he does - a distillation of the info on current events. I am so wary of becoming obsessed & overwhelmed with all the tragedies unfolding that I prefer his approach. We all know where we can go to find faaaaar more detail than we can ever assimilate!! :-)

So many of us in our little celestial family have by aspect or transit Pluto involved in our charts & therefore in our lives, we really have to respect our capacity to deal with pain & tragedy. I'm just gonna keep dog paddling along with my head above water, thank you very much!!

The brew of disillusionment

Put that way it doesn't sound so bad. Multilayered, rich, and satisfying.

There's a lot to cover on all this with the combined talent of this 'celestial family'. With the North Node and Uranus in Pisces, the disillusionmnet is really welcomed, even though we resist this experience. It signifies an ending and all endings have sadness and some disappointment.
The new requires challenge, a journey into the unknown, and the possibility of failure, along with high expectation. It takes extra effort and many people would prefer to bumble along with the familiar. And just cry about their government and victimization day in and day out. They need to drink the brew and get on with it.

As long as we only look at the failure and perceive it as us against them, then it will be us against them.

If only we could drink the brew, see the whole, and welcome the disillusionment as part of the farewell. Welcome it as an opportunity to pursue another vision.

Disillusionmnet is temporary as all feelings are. And constant in its coming and going. It's an opportunity to wait, relax and do nothing.

You'll love it here. The brew I take has everything so the disillusionment is diluted. Actually makes a full mix. Sometimes one ingredient sticks out more than the others but it's always changing.

You already have a philosophical perspective and a lot of insight, so here we are.

This is one of may favorite subjects. The so called pain of truth. Excellent point about the lies of others. I've found real truth to be nothing but a relief.

I'd rather see what's coming than watch these maniacs try to manipulate destiny or evolution to their own whims.

They can't do it.

It's so wonderful to see you, Ginny.
