Out Of A Worm's Ass

Out of the silk worm's posterior orifice comes one of the most treasured items of mankind. Silk thread. It's woven into fabrics and carpets coveted by royalty and desired by the common man.
It's so prized that an ancient trade route to the Orient was built to transport this precious commodity. The famous Silk Road.

Out of a politician's ass comes nothing of value. Due to an anatomical mix-up, the mouth is located here, and what is spun out is waste. Interestingly...... these extrusions are up for votes. It's astonishing to see them consumed.

I thank my lucky stars that this spot in the universe is populated by spinners, weavers, and lovers of fine thread. I'm a rayon satin fan myself. Silk is all right too.

ROFL . . .!!!!! Silk is truly one of the great fibers . . . & politicians are often complete asses (not be confused with those gentle four-legged ones). Even the small glimpses of political BS is toooo much! We vote by mail . . much preferred by my Libra self as it allows judicious thinking time! And just got our primary ballots last week. Oddly enough, I do prefer Maria Cantwell (a good Libra) to the blow hard repug that's running against her...even though she's an incumbent & did vote for going to Iraq, she has been tireless on women's issues, environmental issues & generally looks out for Washington State's best interests.

Now Silk . . just love it! I have this marvelous silk yarn, very, very fine, that awaits being knitted into something. Still in the knitting samples stage as it's important to find the best way to display the subtle colors & sheen. I know, I know . . . I can babble on about my creative process . . it's a love affair as you well know, jm!!!

BTW, have you ever seen & felt an oriental rug w/silk pile?! What a tribute to the weavers . . so fine, so soft & so lustrous!!

Bless you for keeping us laughing!!! hugs & smoochies!!

And where are you, JUNO!!!

Well, some people emit methane, called a greenhouse gas. It's flammable.

Isn't that pure Scorpio, neith? The silkworm.
This is what I mean about Pluto, wealth, and treasure.

Silk velvet is where I lose my self control.

I did a paper for an art history class on Renaissance textiles . . . the velvets & brocades made from silk were priceless. So much intrigue & wealth all wrapped up together. And the labor involved to produce those fabrics, staggering! Lots of child labor involved too. Ruthless times & Pluto's fingerprints were all over them . . . :-)

Yes, silk velvet is a sensuous experience . . . :-)

I knew you knew neith. Hadn't thought about the other Plutonian aspects.

"I was just thinking of the silk purse and the sow's ass...I mean...ear! Anybody versed in anatomy around here?!!!"

No, I don't know nuthin' 'bout sowing no asses. Perhaps some research is in order. I'll need an ass-istant.

here's a lesson in language.... Three versions:

I asked him.

I axed him.

I assed him.
