A Very Important Development

The death of Jerry Falwell has caught my attention and merits some consideration. I normally don't think daily events are especially significant, but I've come to the conclusion that this passing has marked a step ahead for this country.
The most obvious astrological factor was Saturn in Leo exactly on his Sun. Fallen kings, who are tumbling everywhere. Eclipse of leadership in preparation for a new phase. Transiting Mars crossing from 29 degrees Pisces (diffuse spiritual belief) to Aries, after a square to Pluto in Sagittarius (organized religion) is a powerful indication of an ending, a beginning, and a bridge society is ready to cross. Sagittarius in general is associated with pontiffs, meaning "leaders across bridges". On a deeper level Falwell's life and death have illuminated some truths.
In contemplation of the charts I found the most interesting factor of all; Jerry Falwell's lunar nodes. He had a SN in Leo and a NN in Aquarius, the exact opposite if the United States. The Leo SN was behind his dictatorial superiority as he created his "moral majority", expressing the belief that he and his followers were better than those who failed to adopt his ideology. And interestingly, the NN in Aquarius at 28 degrees is conjunct the USA Moon at 27. Thus it appears that the legacy will be entirely different from his life.
Aquarius rules the misfits of society. The aberrations. The variations that can cruelly be considered dangerous by the less evolved. Falwell's ministry was based on human aberration. As the afterlife progresses, my theory is that our society will manifest the lessons learned from this experience. We can even see it happening already in the gay civil union laws across the country. It's been an especially good year for these new laws countrywide, as acceptance of homosexual marriage is developing steadily. The political rise of women and minorities is also in the works.
The USA was born with a Moon in Aquarius. She has taken in the outcasts from around the world throughout her history, and is known as a beacon of democracy. But her SN in Aquarius is problematic. Could there be an underlying uncertainty about these "abnormalities" that Jerry Falwell exposed all these years? Are we ready to face this characteristic? I think that as time goes on, this man's NN in Aquarius will teach the people of this country. His legacy will be this gift.
Neptune will cross this USA Moon and NN point in 2010, making a station, exactly when Aquarian Uranus goes into Aries, the precise place Mars was at his death. Soon after Saturn will go on into Libra, the sign of justice. What's more, Pluto in Capricorn will be exactly opposite our Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius; religion and diversity. And unbelievably, Jupiter will be just going into Aries at this exact Mars bridge for another beginning. Fascinating to say the least. The preparation begins now, as the great misguided evangelist finally guides us to the truth, and helps us create the equitable society we were destined to have.
No wonder I love astrology.

This is amusing.

Gemini Rising word lover, joe, led me to this enjoyable site and today's word for the day is flagitious.
I wasn't familiar with it.

Disgracefully or shamefully criminal; grossly wicked; scandalous; -- said of acts, crimes, etc.

Sound familiar? But here's the connection, from a quote on the page:

During the Whiskey Rebellion 200 years ago, a preacher declared: "The present day is unfolding a design the most extensive, flagitious and diabolical, that human art and malice have ever invented . . . If accomplished, the earth can be nothing better than a sink of impurities."
-- George Will, "Paranoiac Terrorism Is Part of American History", Newsday, April 25, 1995

What would we do without these guys?

Paranoiac Terrorism
flagitious, never knew.
oh my

Great, great post jm, what a story, and why i love the way you DO Astrology.

My son, who knows that i live without TV or radio wondered if i knew Falwell died.
The conversation:
He:So, we have a winner.
me: What?
He: Falwell won the prize, a one way, non-refundable ticket to hell.
Next contestant, please step up.

It certainly does feel like an ending bigger than just one life.

I know it is. I'm pretty rational actually about these magical things, but this one is real. Remember also that the Iraqi war started at 29 Pisces. We will soon see.

Falwell was behind the Right's rise from the beginning of this phase with his use of extremism. As we leave this behind the balance of our Saturn in Libra will start to develop again and as I've been saying, a real discourse will be coming for this country. I've never seen it this politically alive judging from the conversations out there. It's different from the 60s and 70s. More people. More serious. A real political awakening.

I'm simply stunned by the planetary alignment with the Uranus in Aries entrance.

The reason I bring these things up ahead of time is so just by a teeny tiny chance, the group can put this in mind and work toward common goals in between all the fun.

It will be very interesting to see what new religious leadership emerges.

Most people don't realize how many places around the country are joining with the gay marriage developments. Not exciting news. The bashing usually takes precedence.

This shows the results of the exposure of hate. The backlash is progress and no one and nothing can stop it. I get a strong feeling that a progressive time is ahead as the equalizing of the Reagan philosophy of government gone to hell these last years. I find it infinitely fascinating that there is so much Aquarian energy gone wrong; Reagan, Cheney, Rice, and more. We've had a lot of Aquarians, Lincoln being the big one. So it all ties in.

The most interesting one is George Bush's NN in the 11th. This will most likely be the legacy. Progress.

Are we finally able to look at some of our most hidden secrets?
I find this fascinating.
new ballistic evidence disproves JFK assassination assumptions
They found that the scientific and statistical assumptions Guinn used -- and the government accepted at the time -- to conclude that the fragments came from just two bullets fired from Oswald's gun were wrong.

"This finding means that the bullet fragments from the assassination that match could have come from three or more separate bullets," the researchers said. "If the assassination fragments are derived from three or more separate bullets, then a second assassin is likely," the researchers said. If the five fragments came from three or more bullets, that would mean a second gunman's bullet would have had to strike the president, the researchers explained.

Hmm, I heard on NPR that today is the third anniversary of marriage for gay couples in Massachusetts.

Social conservatives fear that gay marriage will change men, women, and society. But gay marriage is an issue in our times because men and women have already changed.

I have felt that if we recognize how men and women have changed, are changing, will change, then we see how a lot follows from that. It's the rising of what's been called the divine feminine energy, balancing the masculine energy. The liberation movements are part of the energy shift.

Changes in how men and women see themselves and each other, along with changes in how children are raised, and slowly a new reality emerges from the old one.

2008 we begin again

I know I will be. In fact, I'm starting now.

This is very interesting in view of the self and polarity identification.

There are many many of these laws changing now but the news is lost in the mainstream. Oregon just passed a new one.

But gay marriage is an issue in our times because men and women have already changed.

Absolutely, as all political change is the end result. The underlying patterns have been changing for a long time. Just look back in our little lifetimes.

This is why I think this death marks a turning point as polarities in all areas start moving back to center from the extremes.

2006 reduces to 2 + 6 = 8, Saturn, authority, worldly affairs, big organizations, material results, reward or consequence, karma, power/sacrifice

2007 reduces to 2 + 7 = 9, Mars or Uranus, the end of a cycle, challenge, humanitarianism, completion

2008 reduces to 2 + 8 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1, the Sun, the beginning of a cycle, creative activity, new ventures, progressive plans

Very good. I suspect that we'll see more states extend legal marriage to gay couples in the next few years. Prolly a good barometer of a growing level of fairness among people in general, good for all relationships, not just for gay people.

The American public has battle fatigue. They want the war to end and the political arena fighting to calm down. The Friday night fights on TV are 'prolly' what they want again.

I completely agree with you on the spillover to all relationships. An interesting development is the latest statistic on marriage. They are coming back. people are staying together more.

What I think is in the air is a desire for stability with the coming Pluto in Cap, and the chance to tend to their domestic problems. Build inner security after this terrorist madness. That's the name of the think tank. Something about security, I forget exactly.

HA HA!! Mars has your funny bone activated.

Completely bushed. With his pal the battle horns have been BLAIR-ING too long. One down, one to go.

But the public is stuck now. All these years of playing toddler, not voting, expecting to have Daddy take care of everything has led to this and it will take some growing up to get out now.

We need a magic bean to put in their hamburgers.
