The Detriment of Neptune Part I

"The most spectacular manifestation of  Neptune's activity in the eighteenth century was the phenomenon of mesmerism. The movement began in 1775 when the Viennese doctor, Franz Anton Mesmer, sent letters to several leading European academics describing the existence of a 'universal fluid' which could be directed and utilized by man. He maintained that this subtle force, which he named 'animal magnetism,' could be manipulated to influence people's minds and to heal the sick of various diseases. The school of thought known as mesmerism was born with Neptune in Virgo.

According to occult tradition, all disease is the result of inhibited soul life. The pervasive influence of Neptune dissolves the obstructions which prevent vital energy from flowing freely through the aggregate of interrelated organisms which constitute the body of any animate entity. Therefore, Neptune is concerned with healing and expansions of consciousness in order that individuals may serve as transmitters of the forces which circulate throughout the universe."

The Divine Astrologer: Marcia Moore, Mark Douglas

Mesmer maintained that planetary influences affect humans through the same psychic phenomena that account for animal magnetism.
Other similar schools of thought arose during this period and the Marquis Chastenet de Puysegur observed that his mesmerized subjects often passed into a state he called 'artificial somnambulism', whereby people became extremely suggestible and open to direction by the magnetizer. Both Mesmer and the Marquis are responsible for defining modern hypnotic trance.

The United States of America was born just at this time in 1776. also with Neptune in Virgo. It takes 165 years for Neptune to complete a revolution and now Neptune is halfway, directly across from US Neptune at 22 degrees.
A certain trance-like state has gripped the populace, from my observation, as it battles an odd disease, immersed in a state of vast confusion and mental suggestion. I would guess the sickness is not what it seems to be.

Often with Neptune, people awaken from the somnambulistic state wondering where they've been while they uncover new directions. The mesmerizing blindness of Neptune allows these paths to form and eventually materialize. Neptune generally serves to obscure reality so that an alternative can be adopted, ideally imbued with some additional conscious recognition of spiritual elements.

Neptune rules Pisces and when the ruler falls in the opposite sign it is known to be in its detriment. It is not a comfortable position. Sensible reactions can be lost in Neptune's spell. Virgo reflects health in its mundane body centered details, while Neptune centers on the spiritual breakdowns causing illness.

Thus the solutions offered at present are not working. Mental disorder pervades and the hypnotists are very busy trying to effect a desired outcome. However, Neptune by its very nature eludes control. Dissipation, dissolution, vaporization, and a touch of psychosis prevail. Or it also might be that Virgoan reality is preventing complete hypnosis while other magnetic forces come through and penetrate receiving bodies. Quite a few citizens are remaining resistant to the trance.

In the end, Virgo can combine with enlightened Neptune to illuminate the mind body relationship in sickness and health, treating them practically once the induced waking sleep ends.

Here's the map beyond the cloud while clarity waits .....

Neptune moves on shortly and comes back to 22 degrees as of February 2022, exactly when Pluto returns. Then Neptune revisits 22 degrees in December 2022. Pluto again will be at 27 in its extended return. Momentous 22.

So there is a very interesting coordination between Neptune and Pluto in the country's destiny now. I'll take that up in part II, speaking of twos.

Fascinatin' rhythm, as the tune goes.

Wow! Fascinatin' rhythm is right.

I know I have to take off my pollyvision glasses from time to time to wipe off the fog inducing specks.
Events will be looked at with new information added. Many thanks, mi sweet T for once again connecting astrology, history, and the US chart.
2022 looks to be transformational.

You and me both. But new developments are afoot and my pollyvision glasses are back on.

I don't use numerology but when there are this many repeats I pay attention. December brings a big culmination of transits and I do think 2022 is going to be attention worthy! There seems to be balance in the twos so it could portend some regaining of that needed phenomenon.

Your mention of dancing underneath the auroras got my mind spinning and I'm still contemplating magnetic fields. I was delighted by the Divine Astrologer's paragraph regarding Neptune dissolving obstructions to divine transmission, and consciousness based healing. Metaphysical causation and cure for illness is probably my main interest. I love the concept of the human body as a divine receiver. And sender.
Some tiny uptick in alternative treatment pursuit can be expected after this. It was already gaining influence.

“According to occult tradition, all disease is the result of inhibited soul life. “

It’s impossible to satisfy it though, so some disease is inevitable. Society bequeaths rewards for denying aspects of “soul life” that may indeed be greater for many than what is lost. To draw a line in the sand for this or that and accept the diminishments of sacrifice seem to be our real choices in the matter of “soul life”. It seems the ancients were very concerned with sacrifice, what was suitable and what was not. The myths are full of these stories.

We call these the "patio conversations," which have become a tradition. For me they provide ballast as the ship rocks about the often turbulent seas. My own thoughts find form and sequence in our exchange. There's self discovery. It's encouraging to know others benefit.

What's your birth info, G?

30/8/21 12:48 PM
Blogger jm said...

"Some disease is inevitable."

Absolutely. Although I agree that soul life is involved, I think illness is beneficial if you put 2 and 2 together and understand what it is. It's partly a form of passage where the discomfort can nudge a person to take up an improved direction. It stimulates movement, while also elevating the cured state to exquisite pleasure by contrast. Relief is one of life's greatest sensations.

I've found that my ailments repeat over and over as if incremental cure is in progress if I consciously work with them. They aren't just physical. They are emotional, psychological, and metaphysical in that larger forces are tapped, maybe to facilitate self awareness and further incorporation of soul life. So rather than feeling victimized, I see sickness as my own creation for specific purposes.

Sickness can be blamed on outside factors, but I think it's the inner malaise that finds the outside cause as a hook for expression. They are inside malfunctions surfacing and probably seeking adjustment, as the human must constantly adapt to circumstance.

Sacrifice is interesting. Is it really loss or is it an exchange?

Dearest T, I've been mulling this latest bit of Neptunian information with regards to America.
It might take a bit more time to gel.

These thoughts began some time ago, speaking with my Chippewa friend, Quiet. We were sharing our distress over what we saw happening to America. Chippewa are near relations to my mother's people so we share foundational traditions, myths.

Among “the people” it was felt that the constitution embodied much of our own tribal structure.

Quiet said he believed that in a strange way Native Americans were the last defenders of the constitution.
I'd amend that as no all Native American nations are similar.

Distilled we are the sovereign selves on the sacred land.
———-

So, here is where I'm going.
America is a bottom up society.
Grassroots
We the people form the nation.

Other systems such as communism are top down.

Somewhere, we began operating top down. Now, this is very useful for mechanism, mass production.
Each cog has a function. But all of our systems became top down institutions, healthcare, public school.

Compare financialism v economy. Economy moves money sideways between people as does barter.

We have forgotten who we are as a people. Bottom up is community, creative, supportive

The mesmerizing, shall we call it propaganda, has lead us away from natural cures, shared experience and relinquishing our American birthright.

My great queen. Leave it to you to see the big picture and incorporate the spiritual.

I completely agree about bottom up. The many Cancer planets point to an aggregate of small intimate tribes. The Aquarian ones lead to the amalgamation. But the grass roots separate selves must remain. Cancer-Aquarius. I'm going to expand on that soon.

So top down Pluto in Capricorn will not dominate as we are about to see. This communist game is child's play. America does not know how to do communism. The Marxists have been champing at the bit to try their experiment for at least a century. Here we are. It is not going well, but it is serving as a beacon to call the people back to their grass roots and sovereignty. All of this will come clear soon and the difficulty of the passage makes the reunion more precious.

The top down Pluto really came into focus after the depression when Pluto was in the opposite sign, Cancer, and the government became parent. Now we must grow up and take control of our society as sovereign adults. The Neptune cloud is facilitating the movement. So the mesmerizing propaganda is necessary.

The ground economy will be rebuilt with joy and enthusiasm as Uranus in Taurus and gets going and unusual things occur. This is about us, not Europe, globalists, power mad crazies, or anything or anyone else. I've always thought we never fully broke from Europe as a true independent sovereign people. Now is the time to take the next step. But we have to embrace our Anglo Caucasian roots and love ourselves.

I agree about Neptune in Virgo. More to come on that. How fortunate I am to have your beautiful wisdom.

The return to roots is being seen clearly now in the phenomenal rise and strength of alternative media. Mercury and the Pluto transit. Neptune square Mars in Gemimi. As I've said before, top down doesn't stand a chance. Shared experience is about to take fascinating turns. Many alternatives ahead.

Yes, it is time to become adults. This means facing some hard truths. “Covid” is not finished providing some of those lessons. One will be how fear can cause us to participate in what could be considered a mass psychosis. Already the pages are turning on this chapter.

What I most love about Americans is our history of “can do”.
Yes, this is about us, but this time a global movement towards national populism is growing. The shifts will be far reaching.

I love how the truckies are shutting down Australia. I hear truckers here and in Canada are picking up the protest.

Agreed leaving people behind, and service dogs as well, has struck at the very heart of who we are. It's shattered many. People I know who have refused to see much else have been undone by this.

And yet, private citizens, retired vets, on their own dime, risking all, have made forays in country bringing out over a thousand despite the US government's acts to stop them.

So, we have two examples. One the top down ineffective and shameful exit from Afghanistan.
Two, a small group of Americans following their principles rescuing those left behind.

Part of our lesson.

Yes. The great teacher, Covid. Obedience is up for study too.

Of course populism is growing. Aquarian days are ahead. We the people. That does unfortunately include the megalomaniacs. One big happy family.

Truckers are something. My grandfather came from Lithuania with eight kids and nothing else. He started a trucking company with a few chickens and their eggs. It became a prosperous business. I am a trucker! Be still my heart.

Yep. Rising up. Coming to life. The crybabying remains deafening since Cancer kids are known to do that. Basically the Pluto return is the great maturing of the country as she gets ready to face the big wide real world and assume her position of responsibility and leadership. Leadership here will have to shape up for the task ahead. I still think a political solution is in the cards. I'm watching the Cali recall with interest.

Eastern Europe is fascinating as are all the regions of the world. Our culturally diversity is already there. We can enjoy it in lieu of forced togetherness. That lesson is coming. People generally prefer staying in their homelands. When I traveled the world my homecoming was as sweet as could be. Language is a major factor.

All the four boys helped build the trucking business and when WWII came, the girls helped run it. By the time my father became president, it was up and running. Ah yes, the California recall. So much cheating already uncovered it's hard to say what will happen. There's more than a governorship on the line, Diane Feinstein could easily be gone soon leaving a position to fill. great stakes both for the state and country.

31/8/21 12:13 PM
Blogger jm said...

The cheating is awful, but humans are a bunch of liars, thieves, and cheats as I say in my song Trouble is a Thing Called Bad.

There are honest ones too, so it works out. I can't obsess about and fear the cheating since I believe that larger forces are in charge and the right thing happens anyway. I know it.

I get a funny feeling about California. I don't know if it's my Neptune Mercury square fantasizing or if California is about to do a lotus blossom thing and move toward fulfilling her beautiful potential as a leading state in the country, progressive and conservative at the same time. The progressive crazies have dominated like everywhere but that will come to a nice conclusion. I'll check Cali's chart.

I suspect that progressive too open borders will affect California and she will react accordingly. That's where Capricorn, prudence, responsibility, and logical control might kick in. Californians love their state. North in Leo.

Here's an additional 222 tidbit in connection with money

Iso 20022 is an open standard for payments messaging.
Meaning sending and receiving $. This relates to the emerging blockchain transfers which will basically make banks as we know them obsolete. It's deadline is this November.

Some crypto may nit meet criteria and will likely fall to the wayside as digital transfers become nearly instantaneous between individuals.

I invested a wee bit so I was forced to learn how this works. I'm still a money in my wallet gal. The new wallets are turning digital with encryption and pretty high security.

As a person who directly exchanges goods for money, the experience changed dramatically with plastic. There's just something about exchanging something tangible for something tangible. It represents two individual's work. Looks like plastic will give way to digital next.

Maybe there will be a place for we old legacy types?

31/8/21 1:47 PM

Yep. The big cities. However, the city slickers seem to be getting increasingly disgruntled as their quality of life deteriorates. They might become helpful. Soon the slickers might realize how much they need the outer circles. The ones that ensure their sustenance. Truckers are like corpuscles in the veins of the country.

It's nationwide and the crux of political life. The dependent urban population vs the independent small town rural. City dwellers cluster together under top down and rural disperses with bottom up. I see it as lowland vs highland too. The valley dwellers are more sedentary and acquisitive while the mountain folk are more energetic, tougher, tribal, and often meaner. That's a large part of what's happening in Afghanistan. The mountain Pashtuns against the cities. Afghanistan when I was there in the 60s was free, open, and modern in Kabul. The Mountain folk in Pakistan and Afghanistan carry their guns with them all the time with belts of bullets festooning their tall bodies. They are fearsome.

These are ancient conflicts not likely to end. But they shift. City needs rural for contrast and balance. The normal people around the country are due for a say in matters.

It really doesn't matter about any specific election. Things happen as needed. I see it like tropism. Populations move toward things automatically. All life is a response to stimuli, and how much we direct it, I know not. I would love to see California do something wild and entertaining though. You guys are good at that.

I think all currencies will survive. There are pluses and minuses to each one. The problem with digital is that everything can be tracked and the info used nefariously. Just like the human creature has remained largely unchanged, I think commodity exchange will evolve slowly. The end to cash, banks, etc? Unlikely.

Some big money people don't like digital since it can track how donations and such are spent. Tax evasion might suffer and they surely don't care for that. So it's all up in the air. Perfect for our Aquarian times.

The 22 repeat is fascinating. It's got my attention. Uranus in Taurus speaks of unexpected developments in the financial world. If you can predict uranian machinations, feel free.
