A Hero's Limelight

As if the sun weren't hot enough already. Humans spend their lives absorbing the sun's energy, but also running for cover from the great furnace. Seeking shade or slathering on ultra ultra violet skin protection, donning sun visors for the eyes, and blasting air conditioning units to kingdom come. Hardy plants wilt in its aura.

In comes fiery Mars. The heat intensifies. Mars transits Leo.

While the Sun simply radiates and naturally, effortlessly attracts, Mars puts his metal into the fire and thrusts it here there and everywhere with targets in mind. Mars sees the stage as a territory to be conquered. He valiantly projects his talent into the spotlight and claims center stage in triumph.

Mars in Leo reflects tremendous confidence and self admiration. While Mars just knows how great he is, Leo loves to remind everyone else of that truth. His performance is robust, one for the ages. The consummate show-off. His heart is engaged.

The dour planet Saturn is in Aquarius now in square aspect to Uranus in Taurus, with their combined collective predisposition. In comes Mars opposite Saturn and square Uranus bringing Leo pride and ego with Mars self assertiveness to challenge what group equanimity could have possibly existed. With the endless attention showered on public figures one is compelled to ask, "Where am I in all of this?"

While Mars is in hot dramatic pursuit of itself, emboldened by the great solar furnace, the knowledge comes, if not the audience.

Aha! Fireworks. How appropriate for the country's birthday celebration coming up.
That should blow off a few lids and unstick a few blocks.

It's all too much for me. I hear Zelda has a wading pool under some shade trees, wonder if she'd like company?

Watched people line up to greet Trump in the heat at the Texan border. He arrived neatly turned out in a suit and what looked like body armor. How does he do this? Maybe Mars in Leo is his secret weapon hidden in his 12th.

Zelda loves company! She can be a chatterbox if she likes you.

Trump looked great. Always so finely turned out with his bullet proof vest filling him out. He has some super human energy. And good taste in clothes with his Leo dignity and carriage. Lazy me with my Leo planets needs to straighten up! Looking one's best is an age old tradition. Leo self presentation adds to the mix. Mars adds lots of ooomph!

Interesting to note the Mars thrust and taking center stage at the border, doing it with such panache. He has great pride in his border achievements.

Mars in Leo behind the ascendant can actually be more potent. It's full of potential energy ready to be unleashed. I think it is one of his secret weapons. 29 Leo, Mars, and Regulus make a mighty trio. Impossible to defeat, and moreover, the daunting challenges invigorate him. No matter that they hate him. He loves himself and that's what matters. If by the grace of heaven they could find self love they'd probably hate him a little less! Unfortunately, Mars in Leo is not handed out willy nilly and abundantly.

I expect developments this and next month as Mars transits Leo, then the Sun in August with the other interesting transits upcoming.

The country's solar return has Mars in Leo, as does mine, which might factor in for the year. There is a lot to do in preparation for the Pluto transit to our nodes after 2024. It's slow but could be effective. Pluto in Cap certainly was. In fact, I think all of this was part of the prep. The dip after Trump in 2016 could be pointing out that the country was not quite ready.

Right after the Revolutionary War ended Pluto came to the nodes. That was a time of great pride, courage, and identity as the new country was born and started kicking. Memories, baby. Reminders and renewals. Gotta love yourself with Leo.

Oohhh love these insights.
The evenings on the patio are the best.

The first thing I noticed was how the crowd was dressed casually but more respectfully than at the rally. This is serious business at the border and the interactions with the border patrol, Abbott and Ken Paxton seemed genuinely friendly and serious.

It really felt less like a photo op and more like a working session.

I think you are correct we the people weren't ready to pick up the reigns of self governance but we are beginning to get some lessons. No more waiting for dysfunctional government.

The Regulus connection is very important. Regulus, one of the 4 watchers was a healer among other things.

Very old northern myth remembered in the sagas and carvings on the old stone circles assigns the place of Regulus to Eira. She was a healer who used earth wisdom. Her medicines were plants fused with sunlight and the dirt itself.

It is very serious business at the border. Other countries are involved. I can't help but think it has something to do with Capricorn and boundaries. A lot of players are making tremendous amounts of money in trafficking, resettling, and other things, so solutions don't come easily. I might have to think things through as to why the body politic is abandoning its protective demarcation. The tight border suddenly goes poof!

Uranus is famous for sudden reversals so it could be part of the Saturn Uranus squares.

Dividing lines created here and there, dissolved here and there. What a mixed up bunch. Boundaries are tricky.

I don't usually read fixed stars, but with an exact conjunction in the anaretic degree, I took note.

The point for me is that each one is born into his own spotlight. All eyes are on him at birth. Whether or not the person performs in his own light or seeks the light of others is subject to circumstance and maybe will. The satisfaction found in others' performances has limits.

Mars in Leo points to that sole identifying spotlight where one discovers one's self.

Same to you my Sweet Sticky Bun.

Strong impressions came to me this Independence Day. The people I encountered were very animated, very high spirited.

And gloriously helpful. I Had mishaps, rescuers, and guardian angels all day. Perhaps my advancing age is an asset! I fell in love continuously in true Mars leo fashion. It was wild for me. There was a lot of fluttering.

An unusual energy was in the air. A little frenzied with a feeling of newness, oddity. Lots of people about. Law enforcement was out like gangbusters, very nice, polite, with their crazy lights. They were in the middle of my little street going home doing who knows what? I couldn't figure it out. Back and forth I went in the afternoon and they were they were doing.....? It confuses me and Neptune is at it with Mars, so who knows? I didn't ask for once.

People are raring to ride, crime is rising high, policing is under the gun, law and order must be maintained. Lawless America is at it again!

So the restricted area society just traversed didn't go well with many. They signed off on it, they own it. But freedom can be extremely itchy.

The weather has also been extremely odd, but it's been going on for awhile, and now its usual.

I think Neptune square USA Mars is clouding direction. It's a different place. No guidance, no leadership. Lost in space or free! Your pick.

Mishaps with rescuers and guardian angels! Oh my, dearone I hope this means whatever was so wild and crazy has left you whole and undamaged.

I can only imagine it was your own generous nature that brought you those you needed.

“It's a different place. No guidance, no leadership.”
Funny I was thinking about this most of the day.
It feels oddly like society after the assignations of the sixties.

I wonder if those responsible had a different plot outcome than the hippie, drugs, music, etc
Did we intuitively know that the way forward was to drop out?
Odd things float in and out, I change my mind with each review. There really are no facts. It all seems like evens upon the stage in your picture above.

When I fast forward to now, I ask the same question. Why let the obvious king be dethroned?

My own son whose politics is much like mine became a precinct captain. I'm not surprised. He began attending some meetings, his description of attendees is of country club Republicans, business networking types. The thing about the Republican party is that all candidates get vetted at the precinct level. His plan is to be an influencer...a real make America great. Support candidates who subscribe to that philosophy and have a skill set to bring it off.

I think this is the plan my T, get the people to lead, as it was originally envisioned.

I agree. The republic can't flourish without self-governance. So it will be. It starts with each little self.

Some self discipline is a great idea. One obstacle to our progress as a society is the gross over-eating. With all the fearful Cancer planets it's understandable. Fat is protection. People got too fat and sluggish, dull. Fear levels can be adjusted somewhat if the will is there.

The glorification of fat women now isn't a good practice. It's important to accept the fats, but discourse should move toward the benefits of good eating habits and the great great benefit of low body fat, and body fat in synch with climate. They are inching in that direction, but the underlying insecurity is the crux.

More than trying to control the earth's climate. people would succeed by coordinating with it. Apparently we are in a long long warming era, which is a good time to shed stored fat.

Everybody works it out as they go. Pieces get better while other pieces deteriorate as always.

I was horrified last week to discover that I am not immune to the mass weight gain. I had been mystified that I had to loosen my belts a notch. Did some of them shrink?

But no. My waist size had expanded another two inches over the past year, though my weight on the scales had not changed and I had dropped potato chips from my diet.

Another couple of inches and I may be forced to buy new pairs of pants. A few more years of this and I might be mistaken for an average American college student!

I smell a nefarious plot. Did someone launder the belts and switch out all the tape measures? Just what was in those fresh strawberries and blueberries? A gene test may be in order.

When I was in college, if I had a tear in the knee of my jeans, it was an honest tear born of normal wear and tear. Although, once it appeared, I decided that it was fine as it was, so I left it alone. It was fairly distinctive then, not yet a mainsteam fashion. Saved the effort of sewing it up. I was not above hemming pants and shirts, however. Ill-fitting clothes would not do.

I still prefer to craft my own accessories, like my leather wallet and suspenders. You can buy a cheaply manufactured leather wallet with a fancy logo for hundreds of dollars, or you can make one from sturdier, better quality leather for a fraction of that cost.

I often think that modern people would benefit much from learning more creative skills. They are, after all, the lesser powers of manifestation which can bridge spirit and matter.

Bridging spirit and matter. Excellent pursuit. I agree. The children would benefit highly from more creative endeavors in schools. Thought is good, but hands on spirit matter melding is just as good. That's my former neighbor! She's been there since ever, so her rent is incredibly low.

She used to host holiday parties. I would catch a brief glimpse of white-haired men and women through the open door of her apartment as I passed by. Most of them are now gone or moved to live with children.

Every now and then she and I meet for lunch, eat spicy food, buy gourmet chocolate, talk about the changed neighborhoods, and stroll by the river.

"Suspenders???? Ha ha!! Class, man. And they leave the breathing stomach free."

Yes, suspenders, among a miscellany of other accessories. I didn't like the elastic ones in the stores at all, so I decided to make my own.

Last month, I talked my nephew through how to make his own wallet after he asked me to teach him. For his wallet, he chose a rich, London red, pull-up leather, and a sturdy steel chain for attaching to his belt loop. He can be a bit distractible and prone to losing track, so a stylish wallet that he can wear like a pocket watch is a good choice for him.

I photographed a few of my experiments to make artistic prints to hang on the wall. Perhaps that's the way of the universe, ever becoming more of itself through reflections of reflections.

That's London Bus red, I should have said. Most of these items were made in recent years. I did make some silver jewelry for fun while in college, but did not pursue that afterwards. A jeweler that I know suggested that I could profitably sell some of my better creations (not all included in the photographs linked above), but I already have a good, remunerative line of work.

"Seeing and maybe even absorbing life enhancing energy. The circle or partial circle around the stage is like the planets around the sun. It probably matters not what's on the stage."

Ah...some interesting lines of thought branch out from there. For one, I feel that the seeing is intimately part of the creation of the seen, more than people, even those who think they know the meaning of those words, can believe.

Glad you liked them. I wonder if someday I will find the time to do a lot more.

Silvered Saami bracelets sound wonderful.

I often find that hand-crafted and traditional designs are so much more appealing. Mass produced objects seem more generic and impersonal, maybe in hopes of being compatible with a broader range of customers. Consciousness is intensified with art. It connects people to a bigger picture, maybe to a sense of story or lived experiences.

I once told a jeweler that adding little cards with a bit of story, perhaps a mythic background or historical context, maybe with a URL to read more at a Web site, could be a strong selling point for her pieces. I think people would like that. There's more soul.

Perhaps the first singularity foresaw that, like dreams of becoming clamoring for release, and yet it leaped the precipice of understanding and fell into existence all the same.

"The circle or partial circle around the stage is like the planets around the sun. It probably matters not what's on the stage."

That funny guy, William, wrote, "All the world's a stage." Maybe the universe is like a stage!

And, "the play's the thing...

Good leap. I think that could be the great joy of live theater when experience is king and understanding, if it's needed, comes later. Do not fall into understanding! Or something resembling understanding. Or understanding comes by instinct, not analysis. Falling into existence in real time brings it to the best place with its accompanying aliveness. Spontaneous release. That's for me. Turn on the lights!! Catch me life!
