The Promised Land
In our modern world which elevates secularism above religion, the biblical promised land does not exist. But oddly, utopian political paradise does, so it's said. Is that not similar, if not the same?
There is something in the super intelligent DNA sequence, or in the cortex of the convoluted brain, which leads humans to believe there is a better world someplace else. It seems to be fictitious, be it a traditional heaven or a more perfect world on earth. A perfect world made in the image of man?
Hmmm .... . .. ..... maybe so. Maybe the perfect world is this one.
Promised by whom or what is another question.
Man appears to be inept at creating expanded paradise, not for lack of imagination. But the seed is planted in the human mind. Maybe paradise is simply a matter of contrast and timing. Maybe travel is not required.
Each to his own I say. Conceive, cultivate, harvest, and enjoy the fruits of the promised land to your pleasure, just in case this world is the perfect one, with pockets of paradise, a patch here, a patch there.

And moment to moment we experience paradise. Just now I tossed some vegetable scraps out for the rabbits. In the distance was a Raven sliding along on the wind. i cawed to him and he quickly came, stalling his flight just above my head. Just for a few breaths I was filled with expansive wonder. Then the wind lifted him away cawing which sounded so much like laughter.
Paradise for a moment.
I must confess dear sweet T, I had other expectations for Neptune's transit of Pisces. Somehow I anticipated something a bit more zen perhaps?? Foggy confusion seems to have been dominating. Jupiter will slip into Pisces soon then two rulers old and new will be exalted in their sign.
Many planets are on the cusp of sign change, soon, it could all spin on a dime.
On a completely different note.USA Mars in Gemini seems to be getting a workout over the weekend. Politicians were getting roundly booed in many venues.
Americans finding their power in speech!
How exquisite. Your raven. Paradise for a moment is enough. The nourishment is exponential.
Ha! More zen. This current world? I'll have things to say about Joop in Pisces. Yes! The exaltation. It's short but could be rich. I think some dime spinning can be expected. We're saturated here, bottomed out. Movement is life's command.
Interesting about the weekend outbursts. I've been convinced all along free speech would come back strong. It scared the politicians coming from the emotional depths as it did. They might not be cognizant of what's ahead for them as Americans perk up, which they are doing. Neptune is hanging around our Gem Mars now soon to be joined by Joop. I'd love some zen but I don't think the kids are in the mood right now. Irritation with the lame brained politicians of yore seems to be the plot as they are gradually replaced.
I'm a little bit pleased as it looks like the political process will be the fix of choice for Americans.
August, September, October, and November mark the last long Pluto station exact on USA Mercury. Neptune will be square the Gemini Mars. Censorship stands no chance at all. This spell has just been the springboard to reassess and commit to our joyous 1st amendment.
Maybe an important lesson is that we the peeps are the speakers more than the mealy mouthed less than honest hypocritical self-serving unbrilliant cowardly creatures we call our leaders. Our doing though. And our doing to correct. We will be heard.
It seems like the paradise is already here... but we can't seem to control our destructive and greedy tendencies enough to realize it.
I think it can be controlled to an extent. It's up to each one. Some greed and destruction is inevitable in all people. Collectively, it gets exaggerated. There is not really a "we can't" I don't think. There is an "I can" in my view. And then, realization of paradise comes and goes.
You are absolutely right about self control. That's the silver lining in Scorpio and Pluto. Self mastery, learning to control the result of impulses. One can reroute desire with mastery and accomplish great things.
I can't change the world nor do I want to. Getting through the greed and destruction adeptly is plenty. Maybe it takes concentration and not worrying about others excessively. The world does what it does. It will take care of itself. Paradise persists.
It depends on where you look. You're the boss.
