One Last Virgo Before the Equinox

This is my cousin Carolyn. She's a triple Virgo. Would you believe it? She's got a husband, five children, and three jobs. Her house is as neat as a pin. She's pretty nice too.

Wow. A Triple Virgo! Her household must operate more soundly than a well-oiled machine. Probably much cleaner, too. And three jobs! She must be one busy lady! But then, she probably wouldn't have it any other way.

I should go to bed cuz I just got home (1 a.m., Houston time). I babysat Pookie tonight while Daddy stayed at the hospital until they kicked him out. Pookie was so NOT interested in the new baby. They kept saying, come meet your new baby brother and he would just slurp down some more chicken lo mein.

Actually, that's the first time I've babysat him at his own house and he was a little jewel. Took a bath no problem, we read a story (no problem), then I sang every Beatle song I could think of.

So a song?

"Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free.

Blackbird fly blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
You were only waiting for this moment to arise."

I love Sag rising. Of course my Moon in Sag figures in. But I think the ASC is everything. Going to post on this.

My sister is a Sag rising and she is one of my favorites in the universe. Scorpio, Moon in capricorn. You'd think she would be a downer. Well hardly. She's got the biggest smile I've ever seen and she's hilarious. In my dowm moments, she's always the one to lift me up.

My son is also a Sag. rising. He had the greatest laugh when he was little. An exceptionally harmonious chart with Libra Sun and Aquarius Moon. He is a miracle of common sense and even temper. Very handy too, having worked 10 years in construction.

And a great dad. Always willing to take care of the baby.

That's right Sag runs in the family. Isn't astrology amazing?

Isn't life amazing?

Great specs on that baby of yours.

I have Moon at 22 Sag, Jup at 20. Sis has Venus at 20 Sag. When she was born it was the most precious treasure that dropped into my life. Her Venus snuggled right up to my Moon and has stayed there forever. We are physically close. Completely comfortable.

It is very interesting, isn't it, how it seems that families tend to "carry" certain signs or elements from one generation to the next?

My father's family tends to be mostly water and earth, a lot of Piscean, Taurean and Cancerian types, while my mother's seems to be fire and earth, with some air mixed in. Lots of Leo and Virgo types, especially right around the cusp in August. My father himself turned out to be something of an anomaly -- a Sag sun in a house full of water and earth, but he's still a double Cancer.

I certainly got his rising sign, but I think I picked up most of the earth and fire from my mother's side, while my sister picked up plenty of water and Pisces energy from dad's side.

When the Sun isn't an instant giveaway, which it often isn't, the real family story seems to emerge when looking at the Ascendant, Moon and Venus, Mars and Mercury. Siblings often end up with harmonious connections between these inner planets, even if their Sun signs are in supposedly "incompatible" or difficult aspects to each other. Lots of things can step in to override them.

I see a lot of Sun/rising sign exchanges within each family. My mother was a Cancer, I'm a Cancer, bro is a Cancer rising.

The Sun sign is overridden constantly. People are more like their ascendants in their actions.

What runs in my family is Libra, Libra, Libra, Libra, Libra, Libra.........

Even to the point that there are repeated 0 degree Marses.

thanks, joe.

My mother's family runs to Sags. And then we have a strong run of Pisces -- my mother must have been aiming at my aunt's b'day cuz we're all within a day of it.

My father was a Scorpio with two Aquarius parents -- and they didn't act like any Aquarians I've ever known. More like very bent Caps.

My ex's family had Leos and a Cap and one Scorpio. It's so funny that he's now dating a Pisces named Casey. (truly)

My cousins had a Sag mother, a Libran father (what a sweetie he was too), and they're Taurus and another Scorpio.

My other brother is a Taurus. Notice how we have NO Geminis in there. That may be why they're alien beings to me.

You made it!

Welcome. Make yourself at home. There's plenty to eat and drink, whispering wineglasses and all.

I've seen the worst slobbishness in Virgos. Out of phase they call it. You're right. They act like the polar opposite.

Actually the lady above is good deep down even if she does follow some feminine guidelines. Not a crime. She's my cuz, and I know. You'd want her around in a pinch.

So no violence to my cousin Carolyn. I'll defend her. She wouldn't hurt a fly.
