Hej
jm the sunset is repeating the same act here with a bazillion bunnies in the cool light drinking some water and getting a last few nibbles on my poor plants. Lovely evening, giving way to alpen-glow.

All day i have been mobbed by ravens whirling and joyous. My sense is that this taurus full brought an ending to what began back in 1999. I certainly feels like it within me. I am dreaming of white raven again, and the presence of a overly large black one who diminishes as she grows more brilliant. They are lovely dreams.

Hurry, Hurry, seems to be the feeling...i have not been able to access the internet since sometime yesterday. Verizon service report says that robo-calling downed all our servers in this part of So Cal. Phones were also suffering. Sheesh.

Like you i voted a while ago after fighting with the local precinct over whether i was registered or not same applied to my son. They claimed we were not on the list tho we voted in every single election. So for two cycles we challenged them. Then i began with absentee ballots. Twice we had problems there, so i used a voter civil rights group a coupla years ago to certify my registration and now i receive my packets and on time.

That experience made me acutely aware of how folks in some parts of the country have had to really go to extordinary measures to vote.

On voting day - i give thanks. Tonight i will light a candle in memory of those who fought for our civil rights, they are mostly forgotten now. The movement is rarely part of a school cirriculum.

What a beautiful rich full comment.

The animals know.
I think you're right about the Taurus Moon. I felt it.

Amen.
My mother was one of them and talked of this to her death.

There is so much ahead. I'm glad to be back with the ravens.

When i lit the candle just now i gave thanks to your mother, and my parents, and to the Daughter of Chief Seattle with whom my mother worked to ensure we children in the rez school got what we needed. And for you and me and all of us, who tell the stories, who stick our necks out, who sing, and remember a very most important part of the whole.
We are all in it together.

I met a man this weekend denis minamora an artist from the Rosebud reservation, a shadow painter - storyteller, here is what he says,
"I believe that imagination is more important than knowledge,
that myth is more important than history,
that dreams are more powerful than facts,
that hope always triumphs over experience,
that laughter is the only cure for grief,
and I believe that love is stronger than death."

~a storytellers creed.

Something to think about on this starry night with the planets lined up as they are, is it not?

It is indeed.

Absolutely inspiring, tseka, on this clear, warm, starry night.

I hear the sounds of new stories percolating.

Bringing in feelings thinking about my mother. Thank you for the light.

Yes it is! So glad to hear the ravens have returned. The wind brought the sun back this afternoon after 4-5 days of rain, clouds & fog . . . why it surprises that the sun lifts my spirits, I don't know but it surely does.

That robocalling is a darn nuisance! The last month I've just let voice mail take messages . . even then some of the robocalls go thru.

I hear the sounds of new stories percolating.

As do I. Perhaps they will start emerging after Mercury turns direct & Jupiter moves into Sag.

YEEEEEEAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colorado is jubilant. Democratic legislature with more gains in the House and a Democratic governor. 1st time since 1946.

The work has just begun but the noose is loose.

There will be changing times ahead.

I like Denis Minamora, tseka. Good connection.

Here's an interesting quote from him:

The town of Bodie, California lies in the Sierras. Once a bustling silver-mining town it is being allowed to deteriorate in a controlled manner.

Makes me think.

It's looking extremely close to being a sweep (assuming the two independents will caucus with the Democrats). :-) It appears that DNC Chairman Howard Dean's 50 state strategy has paid off handsomely. Hats off to Howard Dean.

Only the senate races in Virgina and Montana are holding out, though they seem to be edging Democratic. Hopefully, the final results will concur with the current trend. I hope any recounts will be done before the turkey is.

LOL kad!

I had the same flash about Howard Dean tonight. Good job.

At this point it really doesn't matter about the majority in the Senate. Probably won't make much difference, although I think it goes to the Dems.

It's going to be very lively Congress next year.

I guess we'll see! It does make a more inspiring example, though, of what can happen with positive efforts. Then again, there could be drawbacks down the road. But it's an amazing drama, nevertheless.

Thanks for a political architect with the broad vision, who saw farther and persevered despite naysayers. Those establishment insiders who early on wanted to just focus on the top 20 or so contests did not have a strategy for winning. They did not understand how cultivate the voice of the people, the collective will meant to check and balance governing will.

Howard Dean's birthday is coming up very soon, by the way. Jupiter is presently closely conjunct his Sun in Scorpio, Mars closely conjunct his Mercury, and the Moon has passed over his natal Moon early yesterday.

Oh, and transiting Pluto has been conjoining his natal Mars, and Neptune opposing his Pluto. There are probably other aspects, but conjunctions are easiest to spot. Been lots of activity going on with him for some time, looks like.

Excellent drama with a lot more to come. what a relief to get a change in staging.

a political architect with the broad vision, who saw farther and persevered despite naysayers.

I think this is always the problem with visionaries and why they have to travel solo a lot.

Dean has a Mars in Sagittarius and he shoots for the stars. Martial Sagittarians can be daunting. After Jupiter leaves his Sun (thanks for pointing this out) it will proceed to his Mars next year. He's aiming high, not to mention his Scorpio urge to even the score. His silence is impressive.

Reid and Kerry are both Sagittarians and Jupiter will be with then next year. They both have Sagittarian mouths. Reid once filibustered reading a written work of his own in its entirety. It could be wild.

Good stuff kad.

The Pluto on his Mars is doing a lot. Pluto there can bring out the deepest anger and aggression inside of a person and how its channeled is the story. This is interesting to see him in action. He could be a great asset for '08.

The Pluto also rules his Scorpio Sun so there is a lot of that Wand type leadership we were discussing. Sun, Jupiter, Mars, Pluto all together. Spells fire in my dictionary.

The people are energized all the way around. And scared. This is new and sudden, so it appears. But not really. Long time developing.

Yes, and even just his Mars in Sagittarius pretty much makes him natively one of the Sagittarian Knights we were musing about the other day, a Knight being a type of noble warrior. The Pluto and other aspects seem to have brought it to fruition, though it had been frustrated before.

"Sun, Jupiter, Mars, Pluto all together. Spells fire in my dictionary."

Makes a good solar leader (solar in the broad sense). He begins to answer the earlier question about the public and leadership.

8/11/06 4:40 AM
Blogger jm said...

I thought of him in terms of the Knight too.

The Saturn in Leo was supposed to do this as we maybe become more solar....the idea we were toying with earlier.

Interesting that Bush, a Cancer, was elected last time when Saturn was retrograde in Cancer. All that lunar. It's so different now.

I didn't follow Dean before but I knew as the Saturn in Leo transit ended we would have some good leadership. He could turn out to be one. There are others who will emerge in their fullness next year with the Jupiter in Sag and the Saturn finishing in Leo.

This will be interesting. To see them unfold and find their self expression. The woman speaker will change the dynamic. The "polarity" if you will!

Absolutely. And the increased numbers of women who ran for office, and of women who will soon enter Congress as a result of Election 2006, underscores it.

And perhaps we should speak of Hel at 18/19 Pisces too? Recall that Hel was exact with NN and Sun at the summer solstice and has been walking with the North Node. Now she is reversing her path and will pass over the NN again as if to reinforce the idea of complementary halves of a whole instead of polarized opposition. Perhaps..

8/11/06 12:22 PM
Blogger jm said...

Excellent tseka!

I know that Pisces factor is huge now. I was looking for the clue to Pelosi. Thanks.

8/11/06 1:12 PM

How bout this tseka? When Congress convenes in January the North Node will be at 17 Pisces. Just off the 18 for the beginning of the month.

8/11/06 3:12 PM
Blogger jm said...

Tiny correction.

NN will be exactly 18 degrees.

8/11/06 3:21 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

Ja, trading places. Almost exact.

Nov 7 2006: Hel @18pi16 / NN 24pi 11
Congress convenes 3 Jan 2008: NN 18pi28 / Hel 24pi13.

Congress sworn in 10 Jan 2007 still very, very close degrees.

OK want to look into the crystal ball??
General election of US 4 Nov 2008.
Hel 5leo34r/ US NN 6leo38.

This is absolutely fantastic tseka. The trade is magic! I knew we'd hit it with the metaphysical blend. Especially since it involves my love of all time...the North Node.

The NN/Hel is unbelievable for '08.

What we're going to get is a great President. The signs of that are everywhere.

This is wonderful. Thank you so much. I am such a firm believer in simplicity.

correction Hel 5Leo18

Kinda makes you wonder if Hel has something to do with the North Node of the US in the current moment.

US natal Hel is 9lib04.
Equalilty
Hel = whole, heal, and in modern Swedish means complete.

Who knows? (Probably not the shadow.)

Ja jm simplicity - why i listen more to the Ravens it's easier!

Another interesting fact. Uranus in Nov '08 will be at 18 Pisces. I wonder if this means the wholeness will be reflected in a male/female ticket or a black/white with Obama as VP.

8/11/06 4:35 PM
Blogger jm said...

I think the NN at the current moment is very powerful.

The natal Hel at 9 Libra is stunning. Our destiny in this country is the Libra lesson with saturn in Libra and a packed 7th house.

This will be coming to the fore with a Saturn return soon and then Pluto activating all the cardinal points. Very very interesting.

The start is now with the balancing.

8/11/06 4:39 PM

NN conjunct Sun conjunt Hel at summer solstice of a lunar standstill

~ New cycle, remembering, union of complements, the whole world, earth and sky....

We are all part of the whole.
The circle of Hel. And the meaning of those old stone dances (henges) which still stand.

Other patterns, same messages.

8/11/06 4:39 PM

I mentioned this before and why we have a 2 party system. This Hel placement verifies. We have a one on one balancing act to accomplish and the serious debate between the 2 parties will soon be underway as the Republican party transforms. The R Party has a Moon in Scorpio so it can do this. This Scorpio dominated election has shown them the course.

Very exciting.

So it looks like the wholeness is ahead with the extreme polarization coming to a close and the walk back to the center to meet is started.

Ja jm not to mention the lesson of our Mars retrograde in libra. (exact to my son's mars retro btw. my son and i both have mars /saturn in same degrees in libra- he being born on both my saturn and a mars return.) If it's a clue as to what we will experience as a country, it is looking good imo.

8/11/06 4:53 PM
Blogger jm said...

Yes. Looking good. What interesting Libra connections.

My family also has almost all charts with Mars in Libra many at the same 0 degree.

The USA Mars is headed back to the Saturn in Libra. A long slow journey that I know will be fruitful. It will trine it's natal placement in Gemini and our collective intellect will boom. The Net will figure in as you can well imagine.
