Of Moons, the Sun, and Neptune

Neptune sure is doggin' us these days. The new Moon and Sun conjunction is at 19 degrees Leo, just opposite Neptune in Aquarius. We can't escape the planet of escape. This lunation will include the full Moon in Pisces. More Neptune!!
I consider Leo-Pisces to be the epitome of the actor. The ego of the Sun expressed through the universality of Neptune. The Sun provides for the dramatic performance and the stage presence, but the dissolution of self in Pisces allows the actor to assume any character at all, much like the god of the sea, Proteus, the shapeshifter, who could change form into anything he wanted at any time. The end result is inspired theater in a larger than life dimension and a departure from ordinary reality.

Many people are caught in this Neptunian ocean these days with their creative selves seeking an audience. How they fit into the group seems to be a lesson the cosmos is currently teaching. Some are swimming and changing shapes looking for a shaft of light that shows the world how they want to be seen and experienced. Some are finding it. This lunation will tell the tale once again.

Sun-Neptune people are often described as escape artists, unrealistic dream chasers, sometimes victims, sometimes perpetrators of unkind acts. The solar fire can be drowned in the Piscean waters, but other times the light breaks up into beautiful prisms and illuminates visions reaching into the far stretches of the imagination producing sublime splendor, grace, and shimmering color. This is why Pisces is associated with artists and an intensity of color not found in dense earthly matter.

Movie makers also come under this umbrella, and all the glamour, glitz and illusory promise that surround them. The Sun helps the director dominate his world while opening eyes to a flickering movement reminiscent of the ocean and the fracturing of light. The world of fantasy is projected and the escape from reality is almost complete.

Sun-Neptune can also be the savior of mankind who loves the accolades that come with this mythological godlike achievement. And the fairy tale characters we all know and love are the stuff of Moon, Leo and Neptune.

Along with the new Moon in Leo comes Venus who has just returned from Virgo adding her sensual grace and beauty, adoring to be adored. In addition, Mercury will be close to the Moon, making for some fine wordiness, a joy for the denizens of Raging Universe, who never seem to be at a loss in this area. Poetic musings are imminent. Mars is creating a ruckus in Gemini adding fuel to the verbal fire. And Saturn, of course, is still around, but don't mind him. He's on is way out the door. He can still be used to keep us a little bit cool.

So with the new Moon in Leo growing full in Pisces, it's a good time to swim through our fantasies, dive for treasures, and become the characters of our imaginations with a built-in Neptune in Aquarius audience. I'm all for it. Let this meeting of the solar and lunar forces illuminate with pleasure and round out our days ahead.

A good omen... I'm performing a fire show tonight for a friend's birthday party.

So you'll inform us then? I'm interested in the connection. Fire? The friend is a Leo and a lot of Leo energy is in the air, so I am very curious to hear how it went.

Neptune????? hmmmmm, although Jupiter is my ruling planet, I think my strongest influence right now and maybe overall is Neptune. Had the most amazing dreams these last two nights. Then, of course, there is Pluto and the 8th house in my chart. I am JUST starting to understand the transformational astrologer who read my chart, WHAT she was talking about!

Now, is there a problem with my computer because when I open your page no photo shows up for this last post but I saw over at Elsa´s that it comes with this most amazing scenery. I hope it is not on my end
