A Neuronic Christmas

In case you need a pick-me-up I'm contributing this to the holiday buffet. Use as much as you like. But be careful....it's hot!!!!
Addendum: In my continuing study of the effects of the Mars retrograde in Cancer, I'm curious how the holiday went in families. The tribal disintegration I've been talking about could be picking up momentum, with some people knowing how much there is beyond the biological family barrier, not forsaking the connections, of course, but feeling the desire for expansion in Cancer-Sagittarius. Some scent of change. The Moon was in late Cancer (Cancer Mars opposite Jupiter) forming a yod with Pluto in Sagittarius and the North N at 29 Aquarius.

Two noteworthy geopolitical Christmas events.

Gloom was banished from Xmas celebrations in Bethlehem for the first time in years. Christians from all over he world flocked here to celebrate in an atmosphere of renewed tranquility. After Israeli-Palestinian fighting erupted in 2000, most of the people milling around Manger Square were local Palestinians, but this year there were large numbers of tourists from all over the world, back after avoiding the region's strife.

The worlds's last Hindu monarchy is to be swept aside under an agreement signed Sunday in Nepal. The country once idealized as a Himalayan Shangri-La will become a republic. If it holds, the accord may bring a measure of peace and stability that has long eluded this impoverished, near-feudal land.

Wow this is good news.

Peaceful would describe the day. Very peaceful.

this is nearly universal...may it be so.

++ I don't know about your buffet tho, OK with what is that oatmeal? What happened after i left you last night??

Probably oatmeal. Bleeechhh!

Interesting that last night Nepal came up in the talk. And with the SN just in Leo.

After your peepers pooped, I wrote anther Pluto article. Then I noticed the huge snowstorm outside. Then I watched an awful movie, good actor though, and decided to end the horror. No more movies for me. I hadn't watched movies for 20 years until I got this computer. Now I know why. End of chapter. On to better things.

The Israeli situation is very interesting. people are thinking the downturn in violence might continue. Correlates with the 25 year trend. Peace talks? Probably. Aries-Libra-Capricorn. Saturn goes into Libra the day Jupiter and Uranus enter Aries.

Oh, I see, I thought judging from the picture you posted that Winston was probably adding to Jenny's cuisine. That O.K. sauce looks to have a mighty Uranian zip to it.

It's all in the sauce, and you're right! Winston dropped the sauce in at the last minute (He was on his way to the GC for the festivities there). He cautioned against using too much in case the faint-hearted can't stand too much break from the traditional. But with the NN at 29 Aquarius, anything can happen. Even peace.

There's ham and roast beef for the sentimental.

love the ok sauce. hilarious!!
My research sample definitely fist with your observation. I spent the holidays away form home (thank god) and spent it with people/friends I barely know. It was nice and cozy, but the mood was not a party one, everyone was talking about past relationships/problems and the night was spent by licking each others wounds...a bit too wah wah, downer for me, but I guess people craved it.
It was tres bizzare, four people that kinda don't really know one another ended up confessing their sex addictions! the last bangs of Pluto in Sadge, who knows...

Happy Holidays all, whatever you believe in!

Elena!! I was wondering where you were. This is a fascinating report and I thank you heartily.

Amazing. Cancer-Aquarius. Mars in Cancer. Past wounds. It's interesting that the healing is being looked for with strangers. It makes me think that people might have to go beyond the original sins to find solution with others. I think that would be great.

It's unsettling at first probably. I'm used to this since my Cancer Sagittarius has shared confessions with everyone all along, and I also have never been one for trying to work everything out with family. Gave that up early on. Not necessary, either. Or trying too hard to work it out with anyone, for that matter.

We're probably in transition as a whole, and the party mood won't be around for some time. Thank you so much for this. It helps my crazy wandering mind settle down!

"Happy" holidays to you too. Not over yet. Good to see you.

Here's another astrologer reflecting on Mars Rx in Cancer:

http://www.aquariuspapers.com/astrology/2007/12/post.html

My holiday has been spent right here at home with Mom, in her condo, where I moved in last September (fed up with Big City living and no money to go elsewhere). Examining the past, healing old wounds, finding buried treasures long forgotten or previously de-valued -- ya, you betcha!

Hi jm!
Sorry that I haven't chatted more. Was a fly on the wall of your blog, molto busy with shuffling jobs. Plus your writing is so evolved it's hard to dance to the same tune ;-)
Everyone I talked to said the holidays have been very low key-ish and not one of those: omg-drunk as a skunk-who is this guy I'm kissing kind of way...

yeshe! Thank you. I'm so glad to hear your Christmas was good. I got a warm feeling about my own Mom from your post. I've been having especially comfortable thoughts about her this year. Must be the Mars. Yours sounds like a good one, too.

LOL!!! Elena! Me?? Evolved??? I'm just getting started. I just use big words and fancy footwork. I really do believe that we're all pretty much in the same place, just not aware of it sometimes. Individual areas of expertise. Lots of competition to be ahead of the game, and me, the Aries, is the worst culprit. But there are grains of salt to take with it all. Just don't send me back to the Middle Ages.

I learn from everyone. Come when you can. You lift my spirits.

not one of those: omg-drunk as a skunk-who is this guy I'm kissing kind of way...

Ha ha ha!!!! Or you mean "I was driving?" Don't remind me. I'm trying to get serious here.

I was the designated picker-uper, more like it...
Just read a headline in the ny times today that made me chuckle about the whole thing. It was called "Revelry is so last year." hehehe
