Some nice pics for the occasion.

A lovely blue wave and...

Cowabunga!

Now that the polls are closed, there's some kind of grand cross going on between the Moon, Pluto/GC, and the lunar nodes.

Cowabunga.

This grand cross is in my favorite mutable, mental signs. Flexibility. Good point.
Democrats are associated with the mutables, dictators with the fixed.

It all makes sense as we go into a highly mutable phase next year. Jupiter and Pluto in mutable Sagittarius. Uranus squaring in Pisces, but most of all, the nodes in Virgo/Pisces.

There will be a lot of talk, experimentation, changing of minds, confusion, overall craziness, as people try to figure out what the hell is going on and whatever in the hell to do.

The shift in power is going to give them a lot to do for a minute. Maybe even keep them out of trouble sort of.

It's shocking in a Uranian way. There was a Mars trine Uranus today. Exact. Very nice. Lots of Neptune/Uranus involved too.

The main thing is that the Scorpio elimination now has permanently removed a corrupting factor. It was fascinating to hear that the main concern of the people was corruption. They recognized the survival threat. everything gets corrupted eventually and ultimately to the point that the host can't function anymore.

We have a new game.

The people are dazed. Like they just got their gears stripped. EVERYONE'S confused. Now what? Still a lot of Neptune. Like going through a portal to alien territory. I can't imagine what the WH has planned! The "B" word will be first....Bipartisan. Well they've been known to swing both ways!

One of the most shocking things was how smoothly it went. Done. couple of recounts and that's all. An entirely different vibe.

After all that hysterical screeching about Diebold and everything else it actually went like an oiled machine, electionwise
All elections are manic and chaotic.

But this is like..What just happened?

Sounds potentially creative. Even the White House will have to adapt, and maybe be forced to cooperate and produce viable solutions.

I thought I might mention also that history is being made. The first woman Speaker of the House.

90 years since Jeannette Rankin became the first woman to enter Congress in 1916.

The adapt part I think will be, but the rest....?

I think they'll just be glad to get out without going to jail or having more crimes discovered. They'll be counting the days. They didn't bother to cover their tracks. I always was amazed at this and knew they were bad at the game.

Vox populi broke the enchantment, as more and more people dared to speak truth to power.

truth to power

If that ain't Pluto in Sagittarius I'll eat my hat. Fortunately that would be in my vegetarian diet.

It feels like people broke out of chains. Or suddenly got out of a dark place and were temporarily blinded by the light. It's weird. The discomfort of the suddenly new mixed with anticipation.

Interesting how a Scorpio stellium can occasion a whole lotta cleanin out.
Had to attend to my main drain at home too.

I know! Of course, when Socrates the Greek philosopher did it all alone, he ended up drinking hemlock instead of compromising his principles. This time, however, we're not alone! And that makes all the difference.

Interestingly, he is supportive of marriage equality for gay couples, and of women's right to abortion.

This is truly a joyous magnificent moment in American politics.

I knew it was an exciting time which is why I have stayed involved. Soon we'll see the logic behind the recent hardship and the payoff is already coming into focus. Lots of Saturn/Neptune. I've never quite seen anything like this and I've been around a while.
Lots of challenges ahead but the joy is unmistakable. I knew it was coming and Jupiter is delivering. I know. With my Moon/Jupiter conjunction in sagittarius, this is life.

The universe is fair.

I watched, via live webcast, Bush fumble at explaining Rumsfeld's departure, as he struggled to prevent it from being linked too closely with the election results. It was particularly noteworthy as he had definitively told several reporters shortly before the elections that Rumsfeld would stay.

It was a most striking aspect of the press conference today.

But the clarion call for his resignation, appearing in editorials of military publications before the election, presaged the moment.

"Rumsfeld has lost credibility with the uniformed leadership, with the troops, with Congress and with the public at large. His strategy has failed, and his ability to lead is compromised. And although the blame for our failures in Iraq rests with the secretary, it will be the troops who bear its brunt.
"This is not about the midterm elections. Regardless of which party wins Nov. 7, the time has come, Mr. President, to face the hard bruising truth:
     "Donald Rumsfeld must go."

JM, do you feel better now Hon? See, your favorite warrior told you it would be OK. As a matter of fact, that bottle of wine I told you I got for a celebration ended up being opened the night before! That's how confident I was! I just kept telling everyone that we had that one in the bag.

Party hard for now people, for now the work begins. Time to clean up the place. Gonna take a lot of bleach and mops to wipe away the scum left behind.

I knew that was big kad. The editorial. The Mars retrograde progression is going to be fascinating. Thsi last war changed everything and sadly, It had it be. Sometimes failure is required.

I knew it was over for the neocons long ago, but Rumsfeld's departure is the beautiful solid earthly manifestation of this disintegration.

This is why this country is loved so much. The spirit and enthusiasm. The show we always provide. And underneath, the leadership. All from the people. We The People, as it says.

Our North Node in Leo is tops.

Juipter is leaving the USA Scorpio 12th house where the closet was just cleaned. And I mean cleaned. Jup will be crossing the USA Ascendant just as the 110th Congress convenes. Fasten your seat belts. We're a new country.

And as I was anticipating, with Pluto diminished, the outer planet transits, the Saturn/Neptune opposition, and other factors... the end of the terror game. Corruption trumped fear.

This is a great great opportunity for all of us to seize the moment and enjoy some self confidence.

As an Aries rising I know about resistance and what it takes to build real strength. Not punching out the adversary but muscling against the entity for self improvement.

I think this all related to this year's turn in direction in our Mars and our self defense. We needed this first bout to build inner strength and back away from outward aggression which has never been our forte.....Mars in Gemini square Neptune.

We are a nation of words, ideas, debate, etc. We so so love the power of the word. We are truly turning direction.

This is very exciting. I just wish I had time to breathe. Simply too much going on at home, work and elsewhere. We really got a mixed bag in terms of elections... some very disappointing results but a lot of good ones. I think the destructive candidates-elect will be neutralized, however.

I won't be around much over the next few days, but I'll be thinking of you all and trying to breathe under all this pressure. See you when I get back.

Rumsfeld went down today with Mars trine Uranus and a new direction for our military. It goes with the Saturn trine Pluto and the new leadership.

Although the next one (Defense Sec) is not the right one, the leaders will be forthcoming. The event is symbolic.

The new leadership will be everywhere.

What a blow Donnie! I think you're right. I'm learning to listen to and trust you completely.

Honestly, too many are overly influenced by echo chamber and scary ideation. :-) Imagine if everyone thought the same way.

I stopped trying to tell people that Diebold is not a showstopper. There have always been bigger variables at work.

As far as I can tell, there's nothing that says that a polymorphic symbol must be experienced predictably. A lot depends on how the individual deals with the given context. How does the individual deal? And what is the context?

Maybe it's like the story of the ant and the grasshopper. The ant worked hard and prepared for winter, while the grasshopper dallied. Winter came for both, but the ant did well while the grasshopper suffered for his lack of foresight.

There's a general backdrop of Saturn opposition Neptune, for example. I'd guess that could mean disillusionment with established structures and institutions; re-evaluation of dreams, ideals, fear and trust; and awareness of a need for clarity.

Elections are by and large referenda on incumbents. Where the establishment is the GOP, it ought to be the GOP that must beware.

"Mercury crossing the Sun with all its illumination."

A moment of perfect focus. Will and word acting as one.

Far too many. I wish I could do something about it.

Absolutely correct. That's why predictive astrology will become archaic. It's to bolster fractured egos so if they must, they will. I just wish people woudn't fall for it. Maybe they really don't.

This is how the mistake is made on the voting theft for example.

People see a Neptune square and predictively automatically think deception. Something negative. This is the first mistake. You can't isolate like this either.

In this case there was too much Scorpio at work eliminating corruption and too many outer planet transits in outer signs indicating big lessons. the larger variables you mentioned.

And one of the most telling was that Neptune had just turned direct indicating Something was changing, becoming clear with Saturn involved.

Easy to read, really. And so obvious when you look at the atmosphere of the time and how impossible a theft would be against this force.

Yes and true to this bunch, they were in the dark. The signs of the end of this group have been there for a long time. I saw it the night they won the last election. Worst thing they could have done. The Republican Party was so fractured that it needed to go into the shop for immediate repairs. They should have done it then. Now they have a much bigger problem on their hands. Well.....that's unfortunate for them. *sound of toungue clicking*

And, as has been said, their losses this week is the best thing that could have happened for them. It's not a problem -- it's an opportunity!

"People see a Neptune square and predictively automatically think deception. Something negative. This is the first mistake. You can't isolate like this either."

I'm no expert, but I'm inclined to think an energy pattern can manifest in multiple ways and on multiple levels. It could be something that would be viewed as an exteriorized, very physical and negative event, while on an inner spiritual level, it could also be very positive. And vice versa.

Yes. They were on a diminishing phase even as they appeared to "win". Foolishly, some saw only the appearance of success.

Absolutely. I always go back through an experience and usually see the benefit somewhere. I expect to.

I always felt this way about this whole political affair. I figured it would land in some respectable territory eventually.

In the same vein, this victory will have its other side to contend with. The multi-faceted gem of experience really is intriguing.

I think they were on their diminishing phase when they chose George Bush as their frontman. He's an empty vessel so they created the image, but not quite empty enough.

Whatever is ahead the victory right now is a great one. It's a victory for the power of the people and a reminder of the strength of our democratic system. The people will now be holding these elected officials accountable as is supposed to be, since a presidential election is coming right up. They will have to do as told. The people said they wanted out of Iraq and an end to corruption. Whoever wants the WH will have to toe this line.

Maybe the latest lunar grand cross could symbolize an almost karmic calling for the agents of change and action -- and of unity in diversity -- from all quarters to come together in service to transform the collective. The whole thing suggests initiation on many levels to me.

Apparently, it's an attempt to balance. The cross sounds like an extremely challenging formation.

"Because the Grand Cross involves a combination of squares and oppositions, it is an aspect pattern that affects action and drive (squares) as well as perspective and balance with others (oppositions)."

"...Mutable signs affect healing and reasoning."

"While Fixed signs have no difficulty staying focused, the main challenge for individuals with a Mutable Grand Cross can be the inability to gather their thoughts into a collective cohesion of ideas. Learning how to sustain a sense of balance and coordination should be the Mutable Grand Cross individual's goal. The Mutable Grand Cross individuals gain the most when they learn how to juggle their activities while maintaining a sense of consistency relative to the planetary placements in their chart. The inclination of the Mutable signs is to remain adaptable and flexible."

The Scorpio rite of passage indicates this too.
There is a new something or other in the air, yet to be fully recognized and incorporated.

We are a mutable country by nature. Sagittarius rising, and Pluto has brought us to our identity. The overbearing authoratative approach to governance will never work here.
