Nowhere

My best friend and I have a standard greeting we've been using for 30 years .....
Either one of us: Hey. It's me. What's going on?
The other: Nothing.

Well, I'll be dog joe.

Thanks for this. Amusing and interesting.

Scientists quoted in a past DailyTech article link the cooling to reduced solar activity which they claim is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases. The dramatic cooling seen in just 12 months time seems to bear that out. While the data doesn't itself disprove that carbon dioxide is acting to warm the planet, it does demonstrate clearly that more powerful factors are now cooling it.

Love these comments:

I just want to know one thing: when a cooling trend does establish itself (this may or may not be the start of one, but one will occur) does that mean we need to pump more pollution into the atmosphere in order to keep the Earth's temp right?

No, it means we leave the frikkin' thing alone and adapt. : )
Replies rcc.

Applies to a lot. Good advice around here.

What's going on... Nothing...
we say "not much"

Another beautiful bridge.

Interesting report Joe. And backs up conversations we have had here and elsewhere (astrotabletalk for one) for a few years.

I personally hope the "Global Warming" meme loses strength, i'm tired of the fear- war tactics employed. We have plenty of reasons to clean up our act and live in a more natural harmony- one in four of our children have asthma- that should be enough. We love our home and those who abide within would be my preferred rallying cry.

I'd love to see a cutback on the fear-war myself.
