It's Really Weird

I think grapes are gorgeous. Yet I do NOT like eating them. Bleeecckhhh!! Then again, I love raisins. Wine? So-so. Some I like. Some I really like. Odd.

A big hearty crow for Joe.

Sorry to say, no sense of illumination after reading this. I'm sure you're right, Donnie. I just don't see it yet. I'm glad I caught that exchange about the birds-- almost missed it until I refreshed. jm's blog needs refreshing several times daily or I would miss new posts! Maybe that's why this place is so refreshing! :o)

I wanted to shine a light on something going on here these last 24 - 48 hours. Something is happening where both my sense of compassion and, shall we say, a bleeding-heart quality, are taking on an edge of impatience and accountability. A few new revelations about the behavior of my "friend" from California came to light last night, and some past actions of a "friend" of my SO's that I allowed to stay in my house for a few weeks, and the political machinations of a person with whom I am active in our immediate community.

All these things went on behind my back and I am feeling betrayed and subverted. I am trying really hard not to become cynical and bitter about it all. I feel like just opting out of everything I am involved in, including my job which is relentless in its pace. I put out one fire and 3 more pop up. Endlessly.

I wonder if it's my NN in Cap, or if it's my ASC, or that pesky Neptune in the 7th, or whatever. I had hoped the end of the Merc rx would bring some relief from the frenetic pace but it isn't seeming that way.

Not feeling very crow-ish at this point...

Joe,

The crow is a strong bird. Wisdom abounds in the crow. The crow is also tough and not afraid to caw and let everything else know that something else approaches. I still see the crow above you. Maybe the crow is trying to warn you of something like what you mentioned. He very well may be trying to lead you and get you to take a good look at those around you.

You may be reaching that point of emotional exhaustion where one becomes numb inside. For Scorps it takes awhile to get there but when we're done, we're done. Right now we're in a period where all planets are direct & going full tilt. The Full Moon in Gemini will be the climax of that period as Saturn turns Rx on Dec 5th. Have you considered taking some time off from work?! I know the feeling that taking time away from work just means it'll pile up waiting for us to come back but at least we will be rested . . . hopefully.

One of Scorpio's lessons in this life involves trust - or lack of it. Lots of forgiving of self is sometimes needed when we discover that our judgment was a bit off. Trusting one's self & one's judgment is a very important element for sane Scorps. And this is the voice of painful experience speaking here . . . :-)

One of my deep dark secrets is that I never could trust inner guidance (& I'm very scorpionic) & I certainly couldn't trust outer guidance. As me mother used to say: Life is a poke in the pig.

Ha Ha Joanna!

Trust, man. Our whole relationship with ourselves, "inner guidance"(where ever that is) included, is a lifetime development. Thanks be we can trust innerworkings...heartbeats, etc. That's a clue.

If sanity is what they're all doing, then I'm confused. I used to talk about this a lot when accused of not facing reality. Reality????????? You call that world out there real?

I see a lot of psychotic goings on. I was always impressed that they could sort of drive their vehicles with control though. I "trust" the roadways, but with caution.

The piped in music sounds like a combo of the insane asylum and the the zoo, with some monster's laboratory thrown in. That's always clued me in.

Sanity is relative at this point.

So here it is joe.
Jupiter is just about to reach your 7th house cusp at 4 Sagittarius where the newfound realizations will be tested.

That pesky Neptune is at 4 exactly on the cusp adding to its power. It's no mistake that you became fully aware of it now.

Something is happening where both my sense of compassion and, shall we say, a bleeding-heart quality, are taking on an edge of impatience and accountability.

Good!! It's up to you to call a halt to some of it. and you just did. The patience has to come from you in allowing yourself time to work with the problem. Jupiter is exaggerating it right now for your edification.

The Neptune is overwhelming but all your Capricorn is the antidote. Rational thinking and self control. I think because of the Saturn/Neptune opposition transiting now you are particularly attuned to the dilemma.

Jupiter will be influencing your relationships for a year. Expanding and bringing awareness. But squaring the Pisces stuff so I thinks as with all of us, vacillation between hope/joy and futility/despair will occur.

But behind all of it is the South Node in Cancer... the immature feeling sorry for one's self point. Feeling overwhelmed and victimized and sometimes the feeling that nobody really cares.

With a SN in Cancer they're not supposed to care about your personal hurts. That way you can get to your magnificent adult NN in Capricorn which has the wisdom to see that everybody else is doing what they're designed to do and you can help the whole by taking charge and getting out from under the rock.

I believe this. That the crows are great communicators and let us know the lay of the land. They are like sentries as the hover and caw.

Their communication skills are astounding.
After my mother died, I went back to my hometown to see my father. He left for a weekend to visit my sister but I decided to stay alone in the apartment to commune with my mother. A big message was coming through. It came from the crows outside the bedroom. They wouldn't even let me sleep in the morning.
I always heed their sounds.

Now I see it! I've been cawing since 9/11, but less often now that people are starting to wake up and see for themselves.

A gathering of Corvus brachyrynchos is called a murder of crows, and they're everywhere today, every time I went outside. Probably not a coincidence.

Maybe the crow is trying to warn you of something like what you mentioned. He very well may be trying to lead you and get you to take a good look at those around you.

This feeling has been building for about a year now, that's for sure. I need to think on this some more, but I want to thank for for, um, cawing this to my attention. :o)

That sense of humor of yours will see you through lots of rough going! And i totally agree with jm that you are completely capable of stepping up & taking charge - very deftly with your Gem ASC. And don't forget that crows are social birds, and we're all part of your murder . . . couldn't resist saying that . . . :-)

Here are some interesting facts on doves.

Mourning Dove..
(Zenaida macroura)
Cool fact: Mourning Doves feed their nestlings crop milk or "pigeon milk," which is secreted by the crop lining. This is an extremely nutritious food with more protein and fat than is found in either cow or human milk. Crop milk, which is regurgitated by both adults, is the exclusive food of hatchlings for three days, after which it is gradually replaced by a diet of seeds.

Mourning Dove wave file

Then scroll down to this:

They readily come to feeders. Flocks are formed in every season, except while the birds are breeding—then, the birds disperse in pairs. When disturbed, Mourning Doves burst into strong, rapid flight on whistling wings

Crop milk. This is Amazing. And the most procreative native bird. 6 broods per year. That's a LOT.

I don't think they get disturbed easily. I read that they aren't alarmed by humans.

Great info, donnie.

I'm particularly interested because two of them spend the summers on and around my house. They're very calm. I came suddenly to the window of my sewing room last summer and they were almost against the window sitting completely still on the overhang. When I arrived so suddenly, they didn't even flinch. I was riveted and stayed watching them, then talking to them, expecting them to flutter up like birds usually do, but still they didn't move.

Very interesting. They got my attention. Been thinking about them ever since.

Interesting, you have doves and Joe has crows. Doves do scatter in the wild when run across. The sound will make you duck. The flutter is something to hear.

There are so many degrees of habituation with humans. It's always intrigued me that some of the animals want to live close to us and relate. Some do not.
They watch us so intently and know our behavior.

In terms of the Neptune on the DSC/7th House and Saturn in the 1st...here's how I read a chart.

In joe's chart it's Neptune at 4d in the 7th, Saturn at 19d in the 1st.

I don't think you have to be exact at all with aspects. The closeness just adds and further defines.

Astrologers usually call it an opposition at about 0 to 10 degrees apart.

For me, Neptune in the 7th and Saturn in the 1st is an opposition. They're both operating and they are opposite. Easy.

I work late night security at a 15 acre complex. Some nights there is no one else around and that gives me a lot of time to think. The company people handle things during the day, but we go in at 5 in the evening on weekdays and stay till 8 in the morn and the whole weekend. I work 7 days on and 7 days off.

I just got off at midnight last night, so that is why you see the comments at those hours. Usually I would have been at work at that time if still on days on. I usually get called on days off though, because we only have a hand full of people that are allowed to work that post.

The last time I got off, I received a call the very next day. The person I trained the night before just up and quit! I have had to even train some of the supervisors on that post because they are the ones that have to fill in there if something happens to one of us. That ends up making it hard to get days off. I happen to know more about the complex than even the supervisors do and the office started getting me to train anyone selected to work it.

The price you pay for being truly competent in a world where that quality is at a premium these days. hmmmm bet being alone at night is quiet psychically too. When I lived in big cities (NEVER again) the noise level, both physical & psychic drove me nuts. This way of communication is very clean that way, yes?!
